I was totally stoked about this until I read it went to a third party site that refuses to post a price up front. That's a giant red-flag for me. Any time someone tells you to "Contact Us For Pricing!" it's because the pricing is terrible. Quite a pity... although being a software engineer for many years and familiar with embedded systems, I wonder how much of this I could customize myself...

 

Edit: I may have spoken too hastily. It seems the White Automotive web site still has it listed. Is that a valid listing? In which case the other site is irrelevant and I humbly retract my sharp words about pricing.

The whole reason we want you to call is to answer all of these questions without 800 emails ;) The ship pricing is the same as when I did it at the end as I've mentioned in this thread and there is also a new no down time core swap option now as well.

 

As far as warranty goes unless you show them they will never know, this it not like an ECM tune where there is a witch hunt if you ever need warranty work; its just a radio and I've been programming stuff like this for years with no issues.

 

Not to mention really the only thing they could possibly void the warranty on its the HMI. Again it's not like it can damage anything like an ecm tune and this module doesn't even report CVN's so there is no way to see anything was changed.

 

Its a non issue and there are hundreds of these in the field now with a lot of them being purchased by dealers for customers or their personal vehicles. ;)

Forgive me if I am stating what may already be known but...I test drove a 2015 Sierra Denali (after I ordered one LOL). I had my wife (passenger) attempt to interact and enter an address manually while I was driving. The system prompted her with a warning that only the passenger should be using the Nav while the car is in motion. After she pressed the acknowledgement button, she was free to use the system without restrictions.

No its nowhere near a grand, the only way it would be that high is if you got a new HMI (IE you were adding NAV). Contact them for exact pricing but their ship in price is the same as it was at the end of my run when the price went up.

You seem to have some knowledge regarding the pricing. I spoke to someone on friday and they said the cost was $349. I forgot to ask the person i was speaking to, but is this was the price without me sending back my HMI for a core exchange? When i send my HMI will the price be $199?

Not sure all I know is my introductory price keeps getting thrown around and that wasn't the final price before it was transferred. You need to talk to them about all the options i'm not sure what all is available now.

If you have kids this is a must, these trucks have built in entertainment but no one can use it while driving LOL I rip youtube videos for my son to watch, he loves it!

This is not a sales pitch but more of a gauging interest in developing this software for the 14+ K2XX Pickup Trucks. Here is a quick Video Demo of our current HMI programming operating in our 15 Yukon Denali:

 

 

 

This allows for Video Playing from USB as well as BD/DVD and removes in motion lock from ALL features. This also adds an SMS texting application as well as the addition of the AVI and DIVX video formats. It also adds the welcome sounds back in that welcome you to the vehicle when its off and the startup logo plays (can be turned off on the screen)

 

We can also do custom programming to reuse salvage HMI's etc...
