High Country worth it?

Like everyone else said the difference between the two is minimal. The only difference is going to be painted bumpers and brown leather. With that being said the High Country may only come in a 3.08 instead of the 3.42 or 3.73 gearing. Personally I would buy a Denali before a High Country. Or a loaded out LTZ like mine, I just wish I had the sunroof and Nav. Only options im missing.

I don't think you can get the High Country with 3.08 gears because it comes standard with the towing package and trailer brakes. The NHT package isn't (or wasn't in 2014) available in the High Country so no 3.73's in the High Country's either.

For 2015's:

3.08 is not available on a High country.

3.42's if a 5.3, 3.23's if a 6.2.

Max tow not available on High Country so no DQS mirrors and no 'Max Tow ratio' gearing.

Brown leather is personal pref but it does not sound like it's of much (or any) better quality than the reg. Some people like the look of the painted bumpers but a lot of people complain about them chipping. Other than the unique grill I think every other option the HC has you can get on an LTZ. So really it's just a look thing. I also don't believe you can get Z71 on a high country if that interests you (rancho, hill desc, etc. HC has z60 shocks) HC has it's own rims also, but again a look thing, you can get more choices with other packages I bet. I'd be more concerned with getting 3.42s, etc.

My High Country has Hill descent control/Hill holder. I think this comes standard on the HC

Cool, I thought the website said it was a z71 "exclusive", but who knows. Not to be confused with the grade braking though, I'm referring to the low speed control. I'm sure they both have hill start assist.

Really?

The order guide (both 2014 and 2015) show Hill Descent Control (JHD) as not available on the High Country.

I didn't like the interior color on them at 1st, I have always tinted windows on all my trucks, and realized the h/c was the only way to get everything I wanted. Everyone compliments the interior of my truck, and question what it is. (I took all the badging off)

Its all about personal taste. I love my HC. I was looking for an LTZ but the dealer didnt have one on the lot. They did have six HC's though. Ended up paying the same as a fully loaded LTZ so I was happy. The brown leather is a different touch. I like it, but to each their own.
