HVAC Design engineer.. work for a consulting firm. We do electrical, mechanical, plumbing and fire protection design. I started (not at this company, but when I lived in Florida) at the tender age of 20, doing drafting for plumbing engineers. I turned 41 last July. Worked my way thru plumbing design and onto mechanical. Now, I am a project manager, have a younger designer/drafter working under me. I have a 2 year tech school degree for AutoCAD. Originally, I wanted to be an engineer for GM, but didn't have a good guidance counselor in my school to direct me towards classes I needed, and no support at home. Oh well.. pays the bills.
