Now that Chevy has done the retro look, it is planning a more sleek and "lithe" body for the new Camaro. The two things many enthusiasts hope for are a little less mass overall (make it 5/6 scale and it might be perfect) and the ability to see out of it would be nice. Ed Welburn, vice president, GM Global Design hinted at this, saying “The Camaro went to the gym and came out with a lithe, more athletic physique for the sixth generation. It’s a more expressive evolution of the Camaro’s iconic character – and one that complements its leaner size and sharper reflexes.”

We won't flap our gums any more than necessary since this is just a set of teaser photos. What design elements would you like to see changed in the new Camaro?

Personally I like the way it is now, but I think it would look better a little more "Vette-ish". Would prefer they left the front end mostly the same though.

I heard its based on the Caddy ATS platform, which.. even the ATS-V is a v6.

a 400+hp v6.. but a v6 all the same.

I've got no problem with a turbo 6 making tons of HP, but I've ALSO heard this car will have a turbo 4 option, which.. makes my head hurt. I dont think the camaro has had a 4cyl option since the 3rd gen.

I'm hesitantly optimistic about this. The zeta platform was a great platform and the car drove wonderfully, though compared to a 4th gen the curb weight made the car a PIG. Even though you didn't really notice it in handling and daily driving, you had to work harder to push the car faster in a straight line.

I'm hoping the c6 will be a lighter car, that finally embraces the genV DI 6.2. If the silverado can pull 420hp out of it, what can tghe camaro do with it?? I'm hoping we find out.

That being said, what I'm seeing of concepts and camo photoshopping.. the car, spread out from the 10-12, then 13-15, and now the 16, its face is getting more and more smushed, like its brow is collapsing into its nose like some kind of popeye-esque cartoon character.

The bumper is getting larger and larger front and rear, and the windows behind the driver now seem to be rounded rather than pointed from the camaro5,. which looks more like a 335i to me, not a bad thing, but the c5 already has a problem with TREMENDOUS blind spots, and I doubt making the window rounded off is gonna help that any.
