sweet. nice choice!

as someone who lives in bc and sees a lot of moutains and trailers. thanks! these 1500 just were not meant to pull those kind of loads at those grades. seen a few setups that just bordered on 'scary' this summer.

Thx!

Yeah I hear ya...we seen a few scary ones as well and some people have no idea how to tow safely!

The 5.3 has it's limitations. The Duramax is a can do anything truck! I had an older one and they are impressive. My bad neck and back could tale a 2500 as a daily driver so I am in a Denali. Best of luck you will have no regrets!

Sounds like you all didn't maintain them or abused them for all of them to seize up. Move along...

Everyone of the ambulances are on a strict services schedule. Sad to say the Ford Powerstrokes never seized during the same job. Move on and on...

Seems very odd that only the Duramax trucks had issues. I'm sure there's more to the story than just your blanket statement implying all Duramax engines are garbage. Personally, I think all 3 light duty diesel engines are quite reliable if taken care of.
