Had my AT4 for about 6 weeks and today I noticed that whoever applied the GMC to my MultiPro must've been drunk.

It's about 1/2" off center and tilted down to the right. Not a big deal since I'm switching to blacked out emblems. Became more noticeable since I removed the Sierra badging.

The 2019's must sit quite a bit higher than the 2016's ,  because my 2019 slt (stock ride height) only clears my 7 foot garage door by about 2 inches at the shark fin, so I'm sure if I put a 6" lift and 35s on it, it would hit somewhere about 5 to 7" down on the windshield

I think something must be wrong if it’s that tight with a stock ride. Or they snuck a 6” lift and 35s on your truck and didn’t tell you! :P  I also have a 7ft garage door and am parked snug as a bug in there tonight, hiding from the hail in Dallas.

I went and measured again, swung the tape back and forth to find the tightest spot.  The door opening is 7' exactly,  but the door stops at 6' 9" when fully open.  There is a small incline when going into my garage which I suppose could make a difference,  but back to the point,  when I stopped under the door and measured I have a 2" clearance between the shark fin and the door and the radio antenna hits about 3" worth.  I'm pretty confident that with a lift and big tires it won't fit.

When I test drove the AT4, I drove it home, it would not fit

Hm. Must be a problem. My dealer's body shop told me they had 2 new Sierras in for that exact same thing. They were replacing the lettering.

My recent discovery... In the past week, 3 random people have asked me to show them that "special" tailgate on my Denali. I guess the commercial is working.

People actually stop and talk to me in parking lots to show them it.

Anyone notice if you floor the gas pedal, there is like a button at the bottom? Not sure exactly what it does, seems like maybe it immediately causes a downshift for max acceleration.

My 2014 Ram had this, but I don’t think my 2017 Silverado did.

My Cruze has the same step at the end as well. I don't see any relation between this and immediate downshift. I don't feel that much difference when the pedal goes to that stage.

Had the same issue but my truck the passenger side Z71 emblem was crooked angled down towards the front of the truck, driver side was level. I didn't notice it till after about a month as the truck was sitting by itself in my work parking lot and as I was walking up to it I saw it drove me friggin nuts till I was able to fix it. Heated it up with a hair dryer and pulled it off re-applied with 3M tape now its straight. Didn't bother taking it to the dealer and have it sit all day when I could just do it in about 1/2 hr or more.

Found this out after visiting the dunes this week.  While filling up tires, the truck will honk at you when they are up to pressure.  In my case, it was around 40 PSI.  Pretty cool feature.

I just tried this on my lt TB and it worked.. also noticed the turn signal closest to the tire flashes, doesnt consistently flash so i wonder if it only does it when the truck reads a certain psi.

I've been reading through the manual and I saw the section about the filling your tires (page 370 for those that want to look it up). I kinda skimmed over it because I just assumed I don't have the feature, but mine is an RST so maybe I do.

This feature provides visual and audible alerts outside the vehicle to help when inflating an underinflated tire to the recommended cold tire pressure. When the low tire pressure warning light comes on:
1. Park the vehicle in a safe, level place.
2. Set the parking brake firmly.
3. Place the vehicle in P (Park).
4. Add air to the tire that is underinflated. The turn signal lamp will flash.
When the recommended pressure is reached, the horn sounds once and the turn signal lamp will stop flashing and briefly turn solid.

Repeat these steps for all underinflated tires that have illuminated the low tire pressure warning light.

Quote

If the tire is overinflated by more than 35 kPa (5 psi), the horn will sound multiple times and the turn signal lamp will continue to flash for several seconds after filling stops. To release and correct the pressure, while the turn signal lamp is still flashing, briefly press the center of the valve stem. When the recommended pressure is reached, the horn sounds once.

If the turn signal lamp does not flash within 15 seconds after  starting to inflate the tire, the tire fill alert has not been activated or is not working.

If the hazard warning flashers are on, the tire fill alert visual feedback will not work properly.

    • Welcome back! No, it definitely doesn't pass the sniff test. Even "ceasefire" needs an alternative definition these days.    $5.29 at Kroger today
    • That makes sense, and I think you are describing the real product problem. Capturing data is the easy part. If the owner or technician has to manually dig through five minutes of millisecond-level logs, the product has already failed. The device would be at the ECM harness, not at the OBD port, so I agree that data retrieval and event marking need to be thought through carefully. The way I am thinking about the architecture is: The recorder itself should not depend on a phone, app, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or cloud connection to capture the event. It should always keep a local rolling buffer and lock the event locally. A button, phone app, or small cabin device would only act as an event marker. If the driver feels a stumble and presses the button 10–30 seconds later, the pre-buffer has to already contain the useful data. For data retrieval, the practical options would be a sealed service USB lead, Wi-Fi download, or a phone/cabin companion device. I would not expect the owner to remove the ECM-side module or work with raw files directly. The cloud or AI side would be for interpretation, not for capturing the event. The truck may have no connection when the issue happens, so the evidence has to be saved locally first. After that, cloud processing could help decode the data, compare it against baselines, and generate a readable report. For the first version, I would keep the automatic triggers conservative and objective: driver event marker bus-off error passive voltage drop / brownout device reset FIFO or queue overflow a normally periodic message disappearing side-to-side communication mismatch, if the topology supports that For “learning normal,” I agree with your point, but I would not want to overclaim it as automatic root-cause diagnosis at first. A realistic first step would be learned baseline comparison for that specific vehicle and operating condition. For example, a value would only be compared against similar conditions: RPM range load / MAP throttle position gear / vehicle speed coolant and oil temperature battery voltage AFM/DFM state, if decoded and validated Then the report could flag things like: this periodic message disappeared compared with its normal timing this value deviated from this vehicle’s normal range under similar conditions the same abnormal pattern repeated after the same type of event the anomaly occurred together with voltage, oil-pressure, misfire, or communication changes But I would still call that “abnormal pattern detected,” not “replace this part,” unless there is enough validated repair data behind it. So the intended product would not be “here is a huge log.” It would need to be an event package: what triggered the capture how much pre/post data was preserved what changed before and after the event whether the device itself reset, overflowed, or saw a bus error selected graphs around the event raw data only as supporting evidence From your perspective, what would make this kind of report useful instead of just another datalog? For example: What are the top 5 parameters or events you would want highlighted first? Would you trust a learned baseline for that specific vehicle, or would you prefer fixed thresholds? How much false-positive flagging would be acceptable before you stopped looking at the reports? What would a one-page report need to show for an independent shop to take it seriously? For misfire, AFM/DFM, oil pressure, or U-code complaints, what would you want the tool to flag automatically?
