Has anyone that has the leak, decided to just deal with it for the time being, in the hopes that GM comes up with a better fix in time? I have a 2019 Sierra and just noticed the first sign of a leak today while hand washing my truck. I use a pressure washer and I’m not shy about using it around the spoiler. There was just a single small trail of water on the inside glass corner. Pretty minimal considering the pressure washer. I’ve never noticed any leaks during normal rain (and I check often). So I’m thinking I may just wait and see what develops from a fix perspective. I’m in Sacramento California so don’t get heavy rain anyway, plus the winter season is almost over.

I thought about waiting with mine too, small leak was just in two spots but wound up taking it in and letting them seal the top of the glass before it got worse and was needing a headliner, wet carpet etc. I pick it up on Monday and we’ll see if that was the right decision or not.

I’m doing that, basically. But not because I’m waiting GM out for a better solution. Mainly because my schedule isn’t that flexible, and I’m not in a hurry to keep going in this circus process GM puts us in with local dealers.

I noticed mine leaking early November. Took it in and got it resealed late December. Leaking again early January, and then the headliner stain showed up for the first time.

My carpet isn’t wet, the headliner is not staining any worse, and I have a towel against the window to keep the moisture from collecting.

All that said, I’m not anxious trying to get this fixed. I figure the more time that goes by, the more the dealers will have an understanding of how to ACTUALLY fix this.

This thread alone is proof of what I just mentioned. In early Nov when I posted my leak, I think there were 40-50 pages here after almost a YEAR of the thread being on here.

In just 3 months, the thread has about tripled. Why? Because all us T1 owners are finally starting to see the leaks. So... a couple more weeks ain’t going to kill me to wait.

I’m in the exact same boat. I was at the dealer earlier this week for a separate electronic issue and the scratched the outside of my drivers door to the metal. I don’t really trust them to not make it any worse. That being said if I was closer to my warranty period being done I would be getting it fixed.

Also so asked if they had seen many leaks and they said they hadn’t heard of any....

Do you have a picture of the model of the window they recently put in that leaked? E2 or E4? also be interested to know if the new window is leaking due to poor install or cracking in same spots.

What are these E2 and E-4 codes? And where to find them?

Yours looks like a solid window and not a slider.

Nope it’s a slider.  No leaks yet.  I hope that e9 means it’s a newer design

oh wow. Now I'm wondering if all the spare E4's they are installing are no good. Again, we need someone to get GM on record with what the hell is going on here. not much consumer confidence.

Also, does anyone know where these go? They were left on the roof of my truck after the install.

Hoping its old hardware from the damaged window and that they were replaced lol
