Wow sorry to hear. Mine’s been at the dealer since Dec.16th. You and a few others mentioned trim lok, can you provide a link which piece you are ordering? I’m also wondering how good a job will be done with mine.

Search Trim-lok on Amazon... it’s where I got it. I ordered 1/4” tube and 3/8” tube... it’s just the round core tubing... see pic

This really sucks. My 03 2500HD with almost 300,000 miles doesn't leak. I would expect it from that. It was leaking on the front passenger floor in extreme rain. Turned out the drain in the bottom of the left fender was plugged. It filled up to the HVAC system. I cleaned it out and no more leak. Good thing since it has no space in the garage now. So it goes in the RV shed with the RV and the Jhon Deere. The Jhon Deere has to be in the middle as it will go past the trailer tongue. It's the only way everything fits and the door will close. So I tend to leave the truck outside when the tractor is being used. It's also not a push the button door. So if I will be using it again the next day it's easier to leave it out. I normally don't leave any vehicles outside. But it is fenced and gated rural property and if it is up by the garage you can't see it from the street. So I think it's pretty safe. And it is right under a security camera.

Big test tomorrow. Leak was sealed at dealer using a glass company last week and it's actuality supposed to rain in SoCal Sunday and Monday.

Guess who is going back to the dealer for a second round of Fix the Leak.

Called another dealer in the area, Hardin Buick GMC, and they said they had never heard of the issue with leaking window. Was told since Tustin Buck GMC attempted to fix it once, I need to take it back there.

Think GM is telling dealers to get past the 3year/36,000mile warranty. Why hasn’t GM come out with a better window? Can’t be that complicated to find a solution that works.

It seems the better window is the non sliding one. But yes, why can’t they look at the last model and say how did this one not leak?

Made my appt with a second dealer, actually the dealer I bought the truck from in the first place, for next Tuesday... this will be my third try at fixing this leak... should be fun...

Tell them to check it for leaks AFTER they are done with the "repair" Soapy water sprayed on the outside of the window frame, a little air from the air hose nozzle blasted at the inside of the window frame top and sides better not produce bubbles. If it does.....they have failed. It must pass the test prior to being returned.

Hey everyone, Just saw this thread and went to look at my window and I'm also a winner of the leaky rear window! Anyone who live in Socal have a dealer they taken it to that have knowledge of fixing this problem? I have a 2021 GMC Sierra and I can't believe that this been going on for 2yr and GM haven't addressed this problem.

Most of us CAN believe it.  It's typical of GM.  And some other manufacturers.  They just try to Band-Aid fix it until the warranty expires and then say in essence: "screw you, not our problem anymore."

At least that is how I see it..
