List of tonneau covers that fit '19 new body style

Sounds like moving the cover a bit more to the cab may relieve the sticking point.  I see that with the multi pro tailgate there is not a lot of initial force opening the tail gate once the open buttons are pushed.  Just a little bit of sticking of the top of the tail gate to the bottom of the cover may be the cause.  I called undercover CS several times while I was installing my Elite, guy named Jeremy was very helpful answering all my questions.  Perhaps give Undercover CS a call, maybe they've heard this from others and have a solution for you.  PS  after a few months using the multi pro tailgate, I love it, would not want to go back to the old style gate.

I can tell you which cover NOT to get! Extang T2 soft tri-fold Mod#92456.  The place I got it said it was their only model at the time that fit the new 5'9" bed on my 2019 Sierra LZT.

It was supposed to install without any drilling, but could not be because of the flip up handle for climbing into the bed.  (the drilled and installed a plate without telling me first)

More importantly, my tailgate will not open freely because of the sealing strips.  I've adjusted everything as best I can and made it a little better, but the tailgate will not come down without some annoying fiddling around.

Installed my Peragon cover. So far, I absolutely love it. Only recommendation for install would be to refer to their YouTube videos - so much easier than following the paper instructions they provided. When the panels fold up they only stick out about 6 inches from the cab and the panels are super easy and quick to take out completely. 5/5 stars so far

Just wanted to give you a heads up. I had the same cover on my 2014, had no issues with it, great product.  However, make sure you pay attention to those plastic stops they you insert on the bed.  I didn't check mine and they fell out, and needless to say when my cover was open, the panels hit and rubbed against each other causing all kinds of scratches and missing paint on the cover.  It wasn't the covers fault, it was on me.  So just make sure you check those every so often.  Nice truck by the way.

I went with the Fold-a-Cover G4.  I know a bit pricey compared to other options, but I wanted something that I could open from the front and the rear.

I also got their undercover storage box, which I love.

I have looked at a lot of the hard fold covers. Most troubling to me is that most of the popular covers aren't that secure. Push a coat hanger or other type of hook under the cover between the liftgate and just grab the pull wire and poof open it goes. I would only choose one with a key locking mechanism over those so called just reach in and grab the pull wire. No security on those types. I am torn between a retractable and a folding cover only if it has a keyed lock. Aluminum or coated aluminum for security.

I am considering BAK as well but now seeing some photo of Retrax....man I want that! :D I know BAK is on sale and would be really great to own. Darn now I am undecided.

I'm struggling to find good options for tonneau covers that fit my 19 LTZ.  A lot of sites say it will but list the same part# as previous years --> red flag.  I've seen Bak, Retrax and possibly Extang on here that folks say fit but not much else.  Can you list what you have, where you got it with price and with a picture would be doubly awesome.  I had a Tonnopro on a previous Tundra that did the job and was relatively cheap (~$400ish if I recall).  Looking for a hard or roll up cover.

Below is the nakedness I'm dealing with...

I’m glad this thread resurfaced.  I followed a link to the Retrax at Amazon and saw a comment that it interferes with the assist handle. Anyone else run into this?  It also said that the driver side rail needs to be modified.

I installed a Truxedo Pro X15 on my ‘19. I’m pleased with it- fits well, and the fabric cover looks nicer than vinyl. 91A50EE1-F962-42A1-97E1-919B105E365B.jpeg.33374a46b17e1836a52504d59d7b988c.jpeg07E57A97-E246-469C-9B53-C00FBC99E2D1.jpeg.7a38b9e69de0c4a77bbf100987a7b20e.jpegC7F2AEDF-1A1F-4B57-9CDA-F25185F8B424.jpeg.8138b2142f848414a93458b9cbc39f63.jpeg

This is the cover I plan on getting. How happy are you with it? How is it with keeping water out? Someone on an f150 forum has one and its extremely low. Does the self tightener work as advertised? I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to used the bulk head seal because I already have a rhino liner.

I think you’ll be pleased with it. I get compliments on it frequently, everyone seems to like that it’s very low profile and made out of a heavy cloth like a convertible top. The tensioner works well, I’ve never had to readjust since putting it on about a year ago. As for leaks, I get a bit of seepage in heavy rain around the tailgate corners, nothing extreme. You will notice water pool in the middle of the cover in a steady rain, but it’s never stretched it out of shape, and as I said, I’ve never had to adjust the tension.

The only thing you should know, and it’s really not an issue for me, is that if you have the power up tailgate, you will need to leave the cover released before closing because it will usually pinch the seal and not close. I just make sure I latch it AFTER closing the tailgate. It doesn’t interfere with the power down feature.

I actually have a backflip revolver x2 for sale for a 2019-2020.  It was installed for a video review and guide and that's it.. it's missing 1 washer, 1 nut and 1 nylon washer.  I am selling it for $550.

Went to the link, what size bed? Is it still for sale?

    • Because that is IDIOTIC, much like this question. They've already been forced to do it by past administrations - why would you roll that back when it's a GOOD thing?  WHO IS ARGUING FOR LOWER MILEAGE???? 😂  NOBODY IS!!   I'm certainly not! What I want is RELIABLE vehicles again that are worth the price paid!    I don't get your logic here ...   In 2003 I paid $2,200 for our '86 Grand Marquis. It's STILL running and I've never been inside the engine, aside for the timing cover since it was leaking, so I threw a new timing set in since that makes sense. Transmission is ORIGINAL. Electric pump in the gas tank is ORIGINAL. Rear end is ORIGINAL. I'd have to hit my head REAL hard to want to pay $60k or more for a car that still can't come close to the comfort, seating and storage space, or reliability of this one. Nothing is even in the ball park! Hundreds of thousands of brands and models have been built and sent to the crusher while this one keeps on going!   https://postimg.cc/Z9XRrCSg   I've got a whole fleet of cars, motorcycles, and a truck close to this age for summer and winter. No one could pay me enough to buy anything built this century. I have zero use for any it.
    • Since I'm the one who has to fix them when they break, I'll take vehicles over 30 years old all day, EVERY day, over ANY modern crap. Have you attempted any repairs on anything built after 2006? It's a friggin nightmare, and gets worse the newer the model year.    If I had the will or desire, I can make any car of any age outside of a Model T (I don't have THAT much will ...) just as powerful, comfortable, and have all the tech the new stuff does, and get pretty close in mileage, too. I prefer SIMPLICITY. The less the vehicle has, the less to fix WHEN it breaks, not IF.   I'm glad you snot-nosed punks don't like them. More for us, plus that keeps the prices from climbing more than they already have.👍
    • Bringing this thread back on topic. I just noticed the incredible lack of bright chrome across the entire new lineup. Even the Denali has tinted the brightwork in the grille and has none elsewhere. None of them have chrome bumpers. As far as I can tell there aren't even chrome mirror caps. I'm curious if this also happens out back? Are there no chrome rear bumpers either? This is quite the departure for GMC.
