2014+ owners having issues with their truck?

JAC50, hello from north of the border! Have you taken into consideration the winter blend gas? That does tend to lower fuel mileage.

I have a 2014 1500 Sierra All Terrain and have problems with the heat vent not blowing on the floor and last 1 - 1.5k miles fuel economy on highway has dropped to 15-16 at best and thats running the speed limit in an area of the US that is flat and boring lol. Engine seems to have a bit of a miss/stumble but the dealer says there isnt an error code or CEL... I think the dealer is a clueless but just my opinion. Anyone else having problems?

There is a TSB for loose coil and spark plug wires. Might make sure dealer checks such. Search as it is on the forum. Should set a code but sometimes requires a ride along with their hand held connected????

No I don't drive with it all the way up, but I always put it all the way up when I exit, and if I am in and out of the vehicle backing up or something I'm not adjusting the tilt, I throwing it in reverse for two seconds and hopping out. But none of that should matter ANY vehicle that the gearshift hits the F*&king keys and shuts it off is poorly engineered! Regardless of the the steering wheel position.

After 6 months of owning my 2013 I am trading it in for a 2014, so I am interested in these so called issues. I look forward to my new truck and will follow this posting.

2013 much more refined truck, these 2014 are riddled with issues and after their major upday they still don't measure up to their competition.

I have been running premium gas and make sure its either BP/Husky or Sunoco and pretty much buy at places that are fairly busy. If I want a programmed miss in the motor I would buy a Harley wannabe like the Honda Fury, Interstate 1300 or a Kawasaki Boulevard. lol.

You misunderstood my reply, I was referring to your post about fuel mileage decreasing. The winter blend does cause that; I was not referring to a miss in the motor.

Wow if I felt so anti about my new 2014 truck, I would get out of the seat, walk into a ford, dodge, or toyota dealer and get a real perfect truck and leave there with my new truck and some cash in my pocket. Just my opinion.

Just because you aren't happy doesn't mean they are "riddled with issues.". I've had mine for 5 months and outside of a few minor things mine has been perfect...

I have just found over the years that normally I do not see as much of a drop in the winter when sticking with premium. I have an Audi S5 with Stasis that has not dropped a bit and runs the same gas unless of course I am running at 120+ mph but the local highway patrol frowns when I go triple digits. Needles to say I do not have a miss or stumble on that vehicle either.

Well your experience has been different than mine I suppose; leaking oil, not starting, foggy lights, wind whistle, horrible radio reception, sluggish stereo button response in my opinion is allot of issues for a new $53,000 truck.. but thats my opinion. I expect much better than this, personally I can't wait to get rid of it, had I paid $30,000 and had to deal with this truck I would be ok with accepting some problems. When Hyundia & Kia started marketting their vehicles they were substantially cheaper than a comparible model from a different manufacturer because they were just cheap vehicles that had issues, you got what you paid for. GM's quality has gone in that direction but their price reflects what I would expect to be a well built vehicle. I have bought more GM's than any other manufacturer by far and I can say that the downward direction that their quality has been going puts me off.. its 2014 and they still can't figure out how to get drive-by-wire to get acceptable throttle response! LOL

Again I've had none of your issues. I'm sorry you got a lemon but you shouldn't group every truck into this category. For everyone here that has an issue there are 1000 or more that don't. I hope things work out for you...

Truck in the shop being repaired as I type this, issue is some type of mechanical motor failure that engages/disengages the 4WD system, don't think it's that big a deal, but I didn't like the fact that it left me sitting in a blinding snowstorm and I had to park it at Walmart overnight.

One thing I can say, that 6.2 is strong, I also have a SS Camaro (LS3 Manual), I think this thing is more powerful than it was before I bolted the supercharger on.

I am going to take the same hit with 3000kms or 15000kms, so I might aswell disburse the hit over 6 months, but yes I absolutely plan on getting rid of it ASAP. I will likely buy a Ram, whcih I'm sure will also have issues but the truck is $8000 less and has quite a few more features.
