2014+ owners having issues with their truck?

Well I had my radio and climate fan knobs fixed today. The dealer replaced the nav screen and radio control unit and the climate control unit. It is hard to believe the difference in the look of the dash. I also had a cracked rear tailight lens. No outside damage. Dealer also replaced it. Hats off to my dealer.

damn you Sam! Just kidding, I'm happy for you. Could you post a pic so we can see the difference in the look?

I talked with GM again about the LEDs and still no luck! They just won't do anything.

My truck back in the shop today for the starting with black exhaust problem. Apparently this is a problem for many. An engineer is scheduled to look at the truck in the morning. It is supposed to be much warmer tomorrow so the truck may not show the problem.

Can you imagine what this would cost if the truck was out of warranty? Sales guy told me I should look at a 2015 which is due soon. I told him I wouldn't touch a GM vehicle!

Dude check your SD slot inside the center storage and pull out the card. Then you should be good. Looks like your kids might have been messing with you or something?

That flapper valve is one mysterious piece of equipment. From a short internet search it looks like they put that in to prevent exhaust system noise when the truck goes into V4 mode? Someone said they had theirs cut out but they probably put in a loud muffler and would not hear anything but a roar anyway LOL. That is one thing that I really like about these 2014's they are very quiet inside the cabin and out (other than the direct injection pump clickety clack)

Dude check your SD slot inside the center storage and pull out the card. Then you should be good. Looks like your kids might have been messing with you or something?

The sd card was playing music at the time... I wish it was the SD card..

Too many bugs in the Mylink system. GM need to step up with the new software to fix this..

Ill be checking mine for black smoke...Lord help me if there is.... ive got two 2007 GMCs one 1/2ton 5.3 with 206k and a 3/4ton with 217k and both start right up..no extended cranking crap like the 2014s and neither smoke AT ALL... what was I thinking buying a first run truck????

Talked to a Dealer employee who has an XL - does not have the LEDs but doesn't have the starting problems or black smoke.

The black smoke/long crank only happens on the initial cold start of the day for me.

Ill be checking mine for black smoke...Lord help me if there is.... ive got two 2007 GMCs one 1/2ton 5.3 with 206k and a 3/4ton with 217k and both start right up..no extended cranking crap like the 2014s and neither smoke AT ALL... what was I thinking buying a first run truck????
