:nonod: Called the guy yesterday and no answer. Just got off the phone with him and he said he is waiting on the file still.

I asked if he would be there so I could bring it to him and said just email it and he could run it in the morning. I told him I would email it within the hour and replied to an email from him after about 30 min, so there is no way I messed up the address. Frustrated he didn't call me and bit more that I didn't just drive 30 minutes to hand it to him. I guess there will be no test today unless he can run it off now, so I can grab it at 5. You try not to get on peoples nerves and let them do their thing, but that is almost always when they drop the ball. I resent it to him and might just drive up there if he doesn't call me back with it before I can make it there today. Okay, venting over and time to press on. Keep you guys posted.

If you've got outlook you could send a read receipt with the email to see if he actually opened the email or not. Of course, he would have to choose to hit yes to send the read receipt to you; he could hit no and you'd still be in the same place as now.

Yeah, it's over now. If I can pick it up tomorrow and it fits (not sure when I can get around to trying it now). I'll be done with him and on to someone else.

I was having issues with my hid kit so I had my guy take them out for now. Wow I quickly forgot how terrible the stock lighting is.

How ever my guy is telling me for about 150 he can put in LEDs? He even showed me the led part itself and says he's test mule car is actually a new sierra. More to follow on this , I've asked him to give me guys number so I can get pics and opinions from him.

There are a few threads just like this HID thread, but instead of being for HID stuff, they are dedicated to LED related heads/fogs/stuff. If you are going the LED route, you'll probably have better luck posting/looking/getting ideas in one of them. Here's a couple to get you started on spending more money.

Attempted to put the Morrimoto Sierra Spec kit in this weekend with some issues that hopefully you guys that have installed it will help get it resolved. I had power from the battery to the ground to the ballast and to the relay on the passenger side, but no power going to the drivers side after the relay. Checked all grounds and they were good. Checked everything with a volt meter to make sure I was getting power from the battery to the ground to the ballast and to the relay. For some reason the power wasn't clicking the relays over, but when I hooked a battery directly to the relays you could hear them click. Did a bypass on the relays to make sure that the bulbs and ballasts worked and they worked great. Each time I tried with the truck turned on and with it off. For some reason couldn't get them to work. Any ideas would be great? These stockers are awful at night in the rain. Oh and my good friend who has installed many of these kits on his trucks couldn't figure it out either. Help a brother out please!

When I installed mine, I had to reverse the polarity of the pins in a connector in the capacitor link. The factory bulb harness is wired backwards compared to what the HD relay harness needed. It's easy to extarct the connector pins and swpa them around.

So I decided to give HIDs on my truck another go but went through TRS instead of DDM. Got em in today and opened the box and realized they sent me a mopar spec relay harness and 9006 bulbs instead of the 9012 that they come with in the Sierra spec kit.. This happen to anyone else? Or did they just mess up my order?

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum.

I have a set of DDM 55 watt 6K low beam and high beams. I used an extra wiring harness i had laying around and connected my Low Beams and they would not work when polarity was reversed, but they work when the polarity is positive. The harness has a built in 40 amp relay. Now the issue I'm having is that I have a CEL on now. But my concern is why is it that these trucks are reverse polarity but mine work when its positive polarity? Will error eliminators fix this issue? Will i need to connect the eliminators reverse polarity? Is it safe to run low beams until error eliminators come in from DDM in 2 weeks? And as for high beams, will I need error eliminators/wiring harness for those to work properly,(reversed polarity also?). As of right now my high beams do not work at all. Thanks for any info.

Started the fxr retrofit kit around 4 o'clock in the afternoon didn't finish until 2am .......Thanks to Crf450r420 for the info a lot of help! Expecially the whole bi xenon spring and putting the screws underneath it! The light output looks amazing !!!! Glad I made the decision to move to the FX-R

I have the test cap and might have time to try it out tomorrow. :-)

I decided to go with the amp to ds2 straight adaptor and go with the ballast housing seal instead to close up the hole. Makes it a little cleaner think. But everything works like a charm !

Cool either way man.

So bad news. I'm not going to test it today. Went to the car wash to clean my car and it wouldn't start after so I have to fix it before I can be without a truck again. Also, need to bring home my T56 Magnum transmission when it comes in, hopefully tomorrow. I'll try and fix the car tonight so I can test it as soon the transmission comes in. It was a lot cheaper to ship it to work than my house. I'll keep everyone posted. I'm resisting the urge to show pictures until I get to test fit it.

Just installed my 55w DDM kit in place of my 35 hylux kit.

The hylux kit did not require a harness at all, but it has a built in capacitor to maintain the power to a constant power.

You may be able to get away with a capacitor inline between the OEM plug to the ballast, but you might get decreased performance.

Huge difference coming from no relay required 35w to DDM 55w (I dont have a capacitor installed for my 55w, just reverse the connector from the relay to the ballasts)

Need a little help figuring out what I broke, I tested each side of the ddm 35w kit independently before i installed it and they worked. After I installed them one side was on and driver side was off so I was making sure all the connectors were all the way in and I got a nice little shock and other light went out. I now have a check engine light and my truck has an issue finding idle with the kit on and still no headlights. Put the stock bulb and everything is fine. The power fuse is fine on the kit and I was gonna try swapping out the 80 Amp relay, but i thought i would get a professional opinion.
