One thing I can guarantee you, they are going to regret doing this. This slapping of badges onto other brands' vehicles cheapens the Chevrolet brand. I just can't see the thought here.

was Chevrolet Cheapened when they Slapped a Chevrolet Badge on a DAEWOO, and Called it the Aveo?

Yes. By a lot.

Might I ask HOW? have you ever DRIVEN one? Have you ever RIDDEN in one? Or are you just reading the bad reviews from Consumer (Import) Reports? I CAN answer both those questions because I OWN ONE. They might not be the most spacious, fast, and have the same creature comforts as the Sonic, but its cheap reliable transportation that can get you from Points A to Z, and every point in between!

Reality is irrelevant. If the reviews trash it, no one will buy it. This might be okay if it sucks since it's not a consumer vehicle.

If reviews sold cars, the 2014 Mazda's would be destroying everything they compete with.

Mazda is a niche player at best and you know as well as I do that a bad review will do far more damage than a positive review helps things.

Isn't it sad that well built cars that sip gas and are fun to drive is a niche?

It's to be expected. People who buy most sedans, CUVs and the like don't care about driving dynamics. To them, a vehicle purchase is no different than buying appliances.

BUT ITS SAD!

I think the current Sonic is head over heels better than the previous Aveo. Also, the car the Daewoo that GM labeled as an Aveo wasn't available here (so nobody could easily see that it was another car). Finally, GM owned Daewoo. In summary, the person that said "Yes, by a lot" wasn't too far off.
