I currently am driving on 265/70R16 on my '04 Silverado reg cab 4x2. I live in WI. What size tires should I look for and can I put 17 in wheels on it? I can't afford new tires and 17 in ones are much easier to find. I have found some tire/rim combos reasonably priced but all are 17's. I am looking to get info on what size tire would be best. If I stay with 16's should I get narrower tires? Driving in snow is a major consideration. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

So I installed a kryptonite stage 3 leveling kit on my sierra HD. Cranked up the keys so it’s just about level, it had quite a bit of rake to it before. Came out to a total of ~3.5 inches lift in the front and 1 inch in the back from the new bilstein shocks included. It looks amazing but my issue is it rides rough. I don’t want to lower the front and lose that nice stance it has. Can I install the kryptonite shock extenders as well with this kit to get my ride quality back? Or any other suggestions?

Hey everyone. I have a 2016 Sierra Denali. A while back I opted to do away with the magnaride struts and installed BIlstein 6112s in the front with Cognito UCAs and BIlstein 5100s in the rear, also added Xineering bypass kit to clear the Magnaride errors. I had an issue recently with the stop mount on the drivers side strut blowing out. I contacted BIlstein about it and the rep told me he thought he had been told that the distance between the LCA and where the strut mounts into the truck frame at the top on a magnaride equipped Denali is shorter than a normal Sierra and that it was possible that the strut was too compressed, causing it to push through the top mount. Has anyone ever heard this or experienced this issue? I can’t find anything mentioned about it anywhere. I’m taking the truck in next week to get it fixed but if it’s going to just happen again I am wondering if I need to get different struts all together.

This is more of a general question rather than specific to these trucks. But my 2020 TrailBoss came with LT275/65 R18 GoodYear DuraTrac tires. I'm considering going to some Bridgestone Dueler Revo AT/3 tires. Costco has the LT rated tires for about $20 more per tire than the P-metric tires. My truck is my daily driver, grocery-getter, school bus, and maybe once a month, I go offroad to my mountain cabin. The most I haul is a couple kayaks to the lake every now and then and occasionally yard waste to the city dump. So considering 99.9% of my driving is in the city/highway and I don't tow anything, would it still make sense to go with the LT tires?

Yeah, I'd say it was time. Lol. I put on the shocks, having a shop put the struts on since I don't trust the rental tools to compress the springs. Replaced with Bilstein 5100
