Replacing 2.0 HMI module with 2.5 HMI module to add CarPlay/Android Auto to 2014-2015 Silverado

Just wanted to show off a mod we recently did for someone in Germany who imported a Sierra overseas! We were able to enable DAB radio, European radio frequencies and enabled all languages. We have done a few mods for people with GM vehicles overseas - pretty cool to be able to see these different options available for vehicles from different regions.

I have no idea what DAB radio is but damn it is cold there!

It is Celsius. It is on a test bench and -40 is the default.

Received the HMI and Radio Modules back from WAM yesterday. Installed everything and working ok, all but the GPS. It’s off by about a block on factory nav and through CarPlay apps.  Any idea on how to recalibrate?

Drop us a line from our website so we can go over your setup and shoot you some things to try Surprising on the Car play end of things though since that uses the phones GPS but we’ll figure it out!

i have a 2018 silverado 1500. Wanted to replace the HMI module but apparently the module itself isnt under the glove box like its advertised. Any ideas on where it would be?

Sounds like you might have an IOB radio perhaps?

IOB is all in one style solution not a separate hmi and radio like IO4/5/6

Depends on how crazy you want to get always a way! Hahah

I just install the upgrade from a 4 inch screen to Apple carplay 8 inch screen, first week or two it works amazing! After that the screen itself begins to go to a different page it self. Now this morning the screen itself does not work anymore. Not to sure if anyone knows about this problem. I bought the screen from a eBay part seller I believe it came from a total truck. It does have a 60 day warranty. I try to recalibrate the screen and nothing works.
