I also added the Westin 4” platinum oval nerf bars to my truck.  I honestly didn’t see the gap in the original pictures when I bought them,  but it’s because the bars go underneath the truck.  Otherwise they look great! These had the best reviews on all the sites so I went with these.  Next time I won’t get 4” bars that go underneath.

Well the chrome 6.2L came off the hood and on went the black.  Looks much better.  Also, the sun shade that came with our 2016 Suburban my wife never used so I tried it in the truck and it covers pretty well. Score one for me. :)  That sun shade is heavy, no cheap plastic foil like in the stores.

I also have these black Duramax for sale if anyone is interested.  $30 shipped.

Curious about the black application.  What kind of rubber/paint did you use?  And for the over spray that looks like it would have gone on the paint, how did you get it off?

I didn't paint them.  These are available from shopchevyparts.com    I removed the chrome and put the black in it's place.  They were a reasonable price but the shipping is expensive.

Thanks!

Your truck looks great by the way.

Mine is a 5.3 but I noticed when they upgrade to 20s they slap the same tire size as yours. Guess i could increase my tire size to 33s in the future like yours on my 18s of course and have no rubbing or much sacrafice of power.

Where did you get the gauge pod and how is it hooked up.  That is the one thing i would like to see is what gear I'm in.  At least the F-150's show what gear you are in on the DIC.

hey,

I'm the one who make them. you can look me up on FB Block8head Custom vent pods.

Replaced my license plate bulbs with this JDM ebay bulbs. Took about 5 minutes to do so. I has read it was harder than the K2 and it sure is more reduced in space. Found it easier to remove the socket through the top of the hitch space and then to twist back in i snuck in my other hand through the bottom section between hitch and bumper bracket and with both hands i turned the connector back into place. The light difference output is quite eviden. On the above picture you can see the LED on the left and the incandescent bulb on the right.
