Did you figure out how to get that off? I got stuck in the same spot trying to take my panels apart.

Well this morning I figured it out after contorting in position to see behind the dashboard at the bottom. I found 5 clips and 2 screws back there.

Those clips are Overkill. I felt like I was about to break that bottom piece before it finally released. You only need 2 clips to hold that piece in. So on reassembly I removed the center clip.

After I got those screws out, the panel dropped down with ease. I was able to tie into the 12 V lighter circuit and add a dual Port quick charge USB outlet and voltmeter combo.

I added another one in the center console and dropped 2 extra leads for future expansion. c708dea46187c96c8aa7f731bd55dd2e.jpg807caa3d9ccc2a66d2489dbbfa92e694.jpg

Has anyone come out with a plug and play system other than the LLJ company? They are hard to deal with and will take over a month to get the part in.

Contact this guy. He makes his own and was very responsive when I contacted him. I didn’t end up purchasing anything though.

Those of your that have swapped the oem Bose speakers and amplified your new door/dash speakers, how did you get that accomplished? I’m looking at adding a 4ch amp to replace the Bose setup.

I recently ordered a harness from him (John) and installed it. Harness is top notch, and his customer service is excellent including youtube videos on installation.

Where exactly does the harness plug in? Is it plugged in behind the rear seat? I’m about to put a sub in my truck and trying to figure out if I want to just splice into the wires or get the harness.

It plugs in between the oem harness and the Bose amp behind the seat.

I have the non bose system, so my harness plugged in under my glove box my the passenger foot well. It took all of 5 min to install, once I went back and watched his video on how to disconnect the connectors.

Thanks guys. I have the Bose system so sounds like it goes behind the rear seat. Does the rear seat need to be removed to install the plug? I like the idea of the plug better for a “cleaner” install but if it’s easier to just splice into the wires in the kick panel I’ll just do that.

Can you share some pics and details about the amp and speakers you used in place of stock? I, too have a non-Bose and want to amp and replace the stock speakers. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm installing this Cerwin Vega powered 10" under the passenger seat (will upload install write up when I put it in). I removed the vent duct extension from under the passenger seat, it hides under there perfectly!
