my calculation take into account all of the incentives, I took the MSRP, deducted incentives, deducted 1 year worth of depreciation (even though my truck is less than a month old), and got my number from that. the dealers were taking 26% on top of all that, I would have considered taking a small hit... but not a $12,000 hit.

Have you taken your truck to a Carmax yet? You might get a better offer selling it to them than the dealer is offering you.

Found the answer to the shake and vibration .

2015 Express Crew 5.7 great truck and smooth as glass so I guess this is goodby .

Best of luck to all of you with you trucks , it's been a ride to remember

Good luck with the Ram! I wanted an express really badly when I was shopping but the one thing that held me back was the interior. Reminded me of the Neon I had in college but I love the smooth transmission and the instant power of the 5.7.

I havn't the only carmax near me is about an hour away, and there are dozens of dealerships between me and there. I just went to their site, and they don't have what I'm looking for anyway. I don't see them giving me $12,000 more than other dealerships, and even if they did, I would then still lose on the tax saving from trade in, trade incentives from the new truck etc. It's just too much money to lose

I unfortunately have the vibration issues that previous members have posted complaints about. Truck is at dealer and GM has been made aware of the issue. After doing my own research on this vibration problem I came across the following repair instructions/guidelines to diagnose and fix the vibration issues. Interesting read. Seems legit. Maybe this is the correct path to fixing all these trucks. Any thoughts?

Your dealer can get you "trade in assistance". Given your circumstances, they'll send all your service records to GM and once it gets approved, you'll get anywhere from 4-6 k. Your situation is exactly how mine played out. I didn't have to take anything out of pocket and I received 5 k towards the negative equity on my truck. The thing is, you have to have another truck picked out BC your dealer has to send GM that vin to make sure you're indeed buying another

Yes, so basically the District Sales Manager authorized $4000 "assistance" brining my trade in to the dealer to $37,000. Still.... A new truck is around $49k (for identical SLT) and with GM incentives plus my trade value and taxes, I'm at about $4000 difference.

I guess I'll see if I can convince them to shorten that gap.

Anyone GONE THRU arbitration? As anther Florida member mentioned, lemon laws are similar here in NH. You have to go thru Arbitration via BBB.

I'm liking the interior a lot on mine especially the instrument cluster . Everything's layed out nice and the seats are super comfy for me anyway . Lots of cool compartments for storage well thought out . The material on the seats seems very durable to .

Not to be a party pooper, I wonder if the latest buyback from Dodge will hinder GM from doing any recall / TSB for the vibes....

I can't believe that there haven't been recalls for a lot of the issues with these trucks. There are known steering column issues with our trucks too. The problem with the Ram's is that they failed to fix the issue. GM seems to be failing at fixing the vibration issue, which in my opinion is a pretty big deal. Can't say a truck that shakes its way down the road is a safe vehicle to drive.

What is wrong with the Rams? Is it related to death wobble? If so, that is like every wrangler on the road...

They don't explain in detail, but I would assume that's what its from. They are also recalling jeeps.

The trucks involved were from 2009 to 2011

Details of the buybacks are expected to be released shortly by NHTSA.

    • So you're saying toss the baby out with the bathwater? @txab posted article was her take on how AI can be used to manipulate pricing as it already does and has been rebuked by the judiciasry in housing. How AI can be and is used to maximize refinery or even Amazon operations all of which are true but because she is who she is; that makes what she says about what is true, false? Is that something akin to Pre-justice aka prejudice?    Look, I'm first in line to approach all information with caution just because we live in a world where people like to lie about someone or something with such a straight face and in such volume that it makes digging to the truth wearisome. Meaning I understand the skepticisms but if I were to toss out everything a person is for a view they hold then my pool of people to draw wisdom from would be non-existent and I'd be forced to reinvent the wheel daily. Not practical.    "Be innocent as a dove but as cautious as a serpent."    Test each word. Every good lie is part truth or no one would believe it. Find the truth in it and reject what isn't.    On this one, AI is being used to do what has been done by hand for hundreds of years already but at such speed, the point of a computer, that it is more easily monetized. This one wasn't that hard a lift.    I wrote a few formulas in a Lotus 123 program decades ago, a series of linked Macros actually, that allowed a daily inventory to be turned into a running P&L and production plan. Something that took three departments a week to assemble now took the time it takes to input the 'daily changes' in inventory. Later that was ungraded to the more powerful Excel program an and integrated with bar code scanning, inventory to supply was done once per shift. It had a huge impact on production scheduling, Seamless interruption flexibility, inventory error reduction, raw materials cost effective utilization and scrap reduction. Huge improvement in the bottom line. I spent months on that and AI could have done it in minutes. So yes, it not only can be used, they would be foolish to not try. The legality, ethics and morality are not the domain of AI. Humans need to keep a reign on it.
    • New to this forum.  Also looking to tune a 6L80 and trying to work out all the issues in my transmission swap.  I have a 6.2 diesel (1983) and have removed the TH-400 and about to put in a 6L80 with a TCM-2600 interface and don't have a clue what I doing after that.  Did you (Leatherneck/RAV3) get your slip resolved? I too hate to spend that kind of money on a tuner that hopefully I will not need too many times although from what steelerdude15 added about the HP Tuner being great for diagnostics would be a plus.  I am also from WNC but below you in Columbus.  Any helo would be greatly appreciated.
