OOpps... Sorry bout that... I actually got a weird feeling when I was typing the state.. Now I know why..

<---Dummy...

No big deal... and hey, you have a good looking rig by the way!

both... most of my time has been spent on the freeway going 80+ so it is getting over 20 then...unloaded

make them put on the vibration computer... they have one and they just sent out a new software update for it. It will tell them exactly what is wrong with it. A regional rep is not a machine. Or find a dealer that has one and will put it on and go for a ride. They have certian frequencies that point to what is wrong... like earlier it wasn't tires it was the rear end and it was fixed for about 3k miles then the vibes came back and the computer tells them now it is the tires again... you would think that they would just replace those crappy tires and be done with it... for whatever reason they just do not go with these trucks...

well those speeds explains it, my freeway speeds typically range from 0-45, lots of stop and go traffic here, unless I catch it at the right time and I might be able to get to 60-75... but around here, but thats pretty rare. As for the tires, I have the 22" Bridgestones on my truck now, with the 18" Goodyears stored for the winter, but I'm probaly going to put some Firestone Destination A/T on them, dont want to ruin my nice rims haha... I guess I'll be going to a different dealer and requesting that they put that on so we can try to get the rest of my truck figured out.

I agree, you would think that they would just use good tires, but they probably don't care since they are going to be replaced under warranty from the tire manufacturer

American Axle founded in 1994..... 30 locations in 13 countries. Sourced from China perhaps?

http://www.aam.com/Company-Overview.html

American Axle used to be a Division of GM, In 1994 GM decided to spin them off and let them try to survive on there own, screwing the employees who were forced to either transfer to another GM plant or take 50% cut in wages and benefits, eventually most AAM plants in the USA either closed or moved to Mexico,So GM,you get what you pay for, cheap shitty parts.

So GM finally called back today. The idiot I've been dealing with basically said, "well, the district manager says he was told (by service manager) that your truck is riding smooth. So there is nothing we can do. I suppose the next step is arbitration". Great, thanks GM. So, some district manager read a bunch of invoices and doesn't believe there is a problem so, go F yourself pal. That's awesome....

Ok guys, i finally got the problem fixed after several visits to the dealership. The vibration problem is the ring gear and pinion gear which i suspected in the beginning . Chevrolet had an issue with the cuts of these gears which they have yet to announce. Have the dealer check the backlash on the gears and they will find it is not in tolerance by Gm standards. Gm will send a replacement kit that has been corrected. You will need to be insistent on this process. This isn't a cheap fix for Gm and they will try to beat around the bush with the tire balance smoke screen. Keep calm but firm and it will go along ways in solving your problem. Hope this helps guys and be safe in your travels. Boomer

Called my service writer today and he told me "tech didn't feel safe driving over 70. Couldn't feel any vibration". Then told me "I could get my tires balanced and that may help, but you have to pay for that because that's normal maintenance and not covered under warranty". Load of crap. Couldn't get anywhere with him. I'll be taking my truck over to the dealer we normally deal with, just so happened to take it to where I bought it.

Oh well, they fixed my bad seat heaters and seat vibrators for the driver assist system

Not saying it's a better truck but so far the problems I had with the Chevy are not present in THIS truck, no beaming, no vibration , no 8-4 bump you can still tell when it makes the change but much less noticeable .

I just joined you Bill. Threw in the towel. I went to the dealership today, scheduled for a set of new tires, LOF and check the noisy leaf spring again. Oh, and I was informed that there is another recall to be done. So I take a day off from work, get there when they opened which was my appointment time, and guess what? No tires. On backorder. This after they emailed me FOUR times to remind me of my appointment. So I got the LOF and they "tightened body bolts" to stop the leaf spring noise, which of course, it didn't. Only took four hours. I get the truck back with several shallow dents in the bodyside. Judging by the greasy hand prints at the dents, the ASE certified monkey must have shook the truck back and forth to dublicate the noise I was complaining about, by pushing on thin, flat sheet metal bodyside. So I went over to Dodge Ram dealership and got a Sport R/T Ram. Surprising how much more stuff is on this truck than a Chevy of comparable price. When you start feeling like you work at the dealership because you've been there so many times, it's time to move on.

Well here is my update. So after 3 tries to get rid of my vibration GM now told the tech to replace the ring and pinion. Service tech is skeptical that it will take care of the problem. I decided to see what they would do for me on a trade. They offered me close to blue book which was only about $3000 less than I gave. It's a 2014 with 16000 miles. Not ready to throw in the towel on Chevy yet, I worked out a deal on a 2015 Z71 that it pretty well equipped. Bought it on Tuesday afternoon and drove to Colorado that evening. 1100 miles later and guess what?? Nope you would be wrong. Lol. This thing rides as smooth as a $48,000 truck should. Very happy so far. And the deep oacen blue is very pretty as well. I wish the rest of my GM brothers and sisters the best of luck with your trucks.

I'm at my local Ram dealer right now. Someone talk me out of it.

Uhhhhh, make sure you try the feeling on tight turns. I didn't like how it moved me around so much in the seat. After that I got nothing ?

Dodge buy back. That should do it and the only good looking trucks on the road are GM. Always have been and always will be.

Good looking doesn't mean much when your truck is in the shop half the time. I've been looking at dodge quite a bit lately too.

    • Fred was in the fertilized egg business. He had several hundred young pullets, and ten roosters to fertilize the eggs He kept records, and any rooster not performing went into the soup pot and was replaced. This took a lot of time, so he bought some tiny bells and attached them to his roosters. Each bell had a different tone, so he could tell from a distance, which rooster was performing. Now, he could sit on the porch and fill out an efficiency report by just listening to the bells. Fred's favourite rooster, old Butch, was a very fine specimen, but this morning he noticed old Butch's bell hadn't rung at all! When he went to investigate, he saw the other roosters were busy chasing pullets, bells-a-ringing, but the pullets, hearing the roosters coming, would run for cover. To Fred's amazement, old Butch had his bell in his beak, so it couldn't ring. He'd sneak up on a pullet, do his job and walk on to the next one. Fred was so proud of old Butch, he entered him in the City Show and he became an overnight sensation among the judges. The result was the judges not only awarded old Butch the "No Bell Piece Prize," but they also awarded him the "Pulletsurprise" as well. Clearly old Butch was a politician in the making. Who else but a politician could figure out how to win two of the most coveted awards on our planet by being the best at sneaking up on the unsuspecting populace and screwing them when they weren't paying attention. Vote carefully in the next election, you can't always hear the bells.
    • Can someone confirm if the GM order workbench terminal is able to validate a custom build sequence:   1) Initialize the Allocation Base: Open a new vehicle build queue, select the 2026 Chevrolet Suburban 4WD, and pick the High Country (3LZ Preferred Equipment Group).   2) Select the Diesel Powertrain: Go directly to the engine configuration screen and choose RPO code LZ0 (3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel). Ensure it maps to the MHS 10-speed automatic transmission.   3) Deploy the Seating Swap: Navigate to the Interior Options screen and enter RPO code ATT to replace the standard captain's chairs with the power-release 60/40 bench seat. Because you are not trying to force a separate luxury or air-suspension bundle, the standard, premium D07 Fixed Floor Console remains active. The system will accept this change immediately without triggering a warning message.   3)Apply Heavy-Duty Hauling Capability: Input RPO code NHT (Max Trailering Package). The commercial terminal will automatically bundle the required trailering hardware and software modules to support the diesel engine's maximum towing capacity.   5) Layer the Premium Tech and Glass: Separately add code C3U (Panoramic Power Sunroof) and code UKL (Super Cruise) to the order screen.   6) Run the Final Validation: Click the "Validate Order" button at the bottom of the interface.
    • Spent the last hour or 2 googling and reading up on the spacer thing. I don't like the loss of thread contact on the slip on spacers, but it appears you can get "extended" lug nuts that reach into the hole of the wheel to get back the lost threads. Looks like the only true hubcentric slip on spacers are at least .375". I'd want as little as I could get away with and don't want to cause other clearance issues going any thicker. Bora seems to offer what appears to be a well made .375" spacer and extended lug nuts. I searched here and did find a couple threads recommending Bora. But not cheap. By the time I buy spacers and lugs, new TPMS sensors, then pay a tire shop to install the new sensors, I suspect I'm going to be in over $400. Thinking about running out and getting some washers to put behind the wheel to see if .375" is enough to clear calipers, turn lock to lock without rubbing, and to see if the wheels/tires look strange pushed out a little. This would just be to check fitment.
    • Roadmaster makes some quality parts; I have their sway bar. I considered the RAS, but I ended up bagging. I didn't know what kind of ride I'd get with RAS, and the bags have interior jounce bumpers, so I can run 0 pounds pressure. I figured I'd have the best of normal suspension ride with assist on-demand. But it seems you got pretty much the same in one item.
