Chevrolet Colorado to Debut at Los Angeles Auto Show

DETROIT – In less than a year, Chevrolet has reengineered its entire full-sized truck portfolio with an all-new Silverado 1500, 2500 and 3500. On November 20 during media days at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the final piece of Chevrolet’s pickup truck portfolio will be revealed.

The all-new Chevrolet Colorado will reinvent what a midsized pickup should be. The Colorado is engineered to be the most capable, most versatile and technologically advanced midsized truck in the market. Watch it revealed live from Los Angeles on November 20 here:

Looks large next to the 1500 but that may be illusioned because of the cloak. Most interested to see how they look and what powers them.

I hope they make them capable and not just a cheap solution to a 1500. I know a lot of people this would be an option for, if they make it right.

I've heard a ton of hints dropped that it will be bigger than last models. We will see.

I fear it may end up being to big for the midsize market and will be a weird tweener that will get over looked as it will be "too big" for many and "too small" for others.

I really don't understand the logic of making it bigger, and so full of options, making it expensive, then you might as well just go fullsize.

I have a 2011 Silverado extra cab as "my truck" and 2001 S-10 regular cab as my "work truck".

The Silverado is loaded, the S-10 totally basic. I use the S-10 for all the little dirty jobs and the Silverado for towing.

There is a big hole in the market for simple CHEAP little trucks for fleet and work usage.

I just don't wee the point in a gussied up, expensive, midsize....

if it gets better mileage than a full size, and can do the majority of the same things, while still being either luxurious or rugged, it will appeal to people who cannot afford a full size truck

You get the gold star of the evening. This is exactly the reasoning that GM is using and I've heard it out of Mark Reuss's mouth with my own ears. Will it work? We will see.

I just hope it doesn't look like the global Colorado

No, it won't. Should be a "younger" Silverado type look. US styling is unique.
