I wonder if that means you can get the XM trial for free again..lol

So, this is very interesting Todd...YES!

I checked my XM Radio ID# on channel 0...it has indeed changed, but everything is working...checked my online XM account...still has old Radio ID#...tried to "replace radio" online and got error message that radio is in use by another account...called SiriusXM...agent said that my new Radio ID# is indeed under a trial/demo program and he cannot merge it into my account until after the demo expires August 20, 2015! He advised me to cancel my current account, receive a refund of unused service and call back once the demo expires. WOW!

I cancelled the old account and now we'll see...hmmm

I'm going to have to check mine also. Probably going to deal with the same situation.

Finally got the fm module replaced two days ago. Yesterday my xm quit working. Had xm reflash 5 times. So I have been using the HD till it goes back to the dealer again. It holds HD a little better but it still goes in and out sometimes.

You might want to check channel 0 to see if there is a new radio with a new ID. As Tom (tbare54) said, it may have been in demo mode and needs to be merged into your account...

XM's website shows my radio ID did indeed change. On 5/22/2014 I paid for a subscription (old radio). As of today (new radio), it shows that I have a 1 year special offer good until 5/22/2105, and a 1 year plan START date of 5/22/2015!

I'm thinking I'm good to go. :)

For all that have there radio replaced and new software. Your xm radio has a new id because it is a different radio, it will work for a day or two and then it will mysteriously quit working. You'll have to call XM and give them the new radio id number and ad it to your account.

They will re-provision your radio to your account and it should work just fine.

Where can I find the new radio id number

XM channel 0 shows your number. You would also see it in your online XM account.

Mine did the same thing, then it reverted to my paid subscription after a couple of days.

If you are referring to my most recent post, it still shows my account having a promo until 5/22/'15, then my paid subscription taking over from their 'till 5/22/'16. :)

I received an email fro the engineer, he advised me that they are in the final stages of getting this new firmware validated and setup. He said it will take a bit and could be Q2 before it is ready, the flash process has no room for error and if it is interrupted it will corrupt the radio module which will then have to be replaced.

I have a 2014 Silverado LTZ with bad HD radio. Have my truck at the dealer for other things and complained about the radio. They said they can't find PI1288a. Is it a TSB? Why wouldn't they be able to find it, looks like others have had success by referencing that number? Can anyone help?

I took my Silverado I'm for an oil change today, and mentioned to them that I had issues with HD radio reception. Later on, I was handed PI5854C, normal characteristics, HD radio signal cuts in and out skips or drops out (Aug 7, 2014). I told them I thought there was a newer one, but they insisted there wasn't. What do I need to tell them to get the latest update?

My truck is one of the first, 5/13 build. I've had it since 7/13, it has 17,500 miles, and I'm sure that it qualifies for the hardware/software update that was mentioned earlier in the thread.

    • Did you even read this article?   Even the title of the article says "U.S.-Iran Deal Doesn’t Mean a Swift Return of Oil and Gas Flows"   Remember, crude oil prices are based on FUTURE purchases by the oil companies.  Gas prices are based on FUTURE purchases by the station.  This article stated that many of the oil producing nations have to restart their processes to get the oil produced.  Then the oil has to be shipped to wherever.  And it doesn't get there overnight.  And most of that oil is not coming here. Check out this site:  https://afdc.energy.gov/data/10621   A graph will pop up to show where the US imports their oil from.  Notice that there isn't a lot of import from OPEC and Iraq.  Most of the US import comes from Canada. The US oil produces are selling their oil on the open market, which is why the US fuel costs went up.  So you're correct, the US oil companies are going to slow walk the price downward.

    • I just purchased a 2004 Tahoe with 148,******. I used to have a 2006 Suburban that had the push button Auto 4X, 2Hi, 4Hi and 4Lo. When checking out this truck I noticed it had push button but didn’t focus on it. After the purchase when driving home, this is when I noticed it was different and after a little research found out it has the AWD stabilitrak system. I don’t live in an area that requires AWD. I bought the truck to start a new adventure in life with off roading, now that the kids are all grown up. I purchased the truck knowing it didn’t have the G80 rearend but plan on re-gearing to drive on 33s or 35s and upgrade with a rear locker and still be able to tow when needed. Blah Blah Blah Anyway I know am thinking about converting the stabilitrak  to Z71. I know I will have to replace the transfer case. So now the information gathering stage is happening to see if it is worth it. Is the front AWD stabilitrak differential different when compared to a non-AWD front diff? Will I need a completely different front differential or can it be converted? What else should I be considering? I did see something in a video for GMT900 platform with removing the ABS fuse that disables the stabilitrak and turns the truck into a 2 wheel drive. Would that work in the GMT800 platform?
