Perforated seat durability?

Recommended Posts

Im looking at a truck with the perforated leather heated and cooled seats. I'm a carpenter and I live in an area that gets lots of snow so I'm worried that the perforated leather will not hold up as well as the regular leather seats. Anyone have perforated seats and abuse them?

The entire seating surface on the front seats is leather, no vinyl other than on the sides and the back of the seat. Also it doesn't really do much to use leather conditioner on GM leather, it has a clear coat top coat on it that wont allow the conditioner to get into the leather. I just use a quality leather cleaner on mine.

Found it out thru a supplier that makes the leather seats for GM and from a local repair shop as well. Unless you buy some Katz Skins leather seats all of the factory stuff has a clear coat top coat. Even my wifes Lincoln MKX is the same way.
