Performance Tuner for 2016 5.3L

Just returned my DIablosport i2 as it would calibrate my speedo when changing to larger tires. Talked to Diablew who advised it is a known problem that hasn't been fixed...

With that in mind, looking for input on the Bully Dog DT and Hypermax 2.0 Tuner. I know everyone on here says to go custom, but I just dropped $5K on my lift and wheels/tires so looking at something more affordable for now.

Superchip and Edge don't support the 2016 Silverado 5.3L yet so those are out as well.

Any help is appreciated! thanks

Blackbear is $599 which is out of my price range. Looking to spend around $300 which is why I narrowed it down to the 2 listed about.

I appreciate the reply though!

I only spent 300 bucks for my in person tune from Blackbear. I did not purchase an autocal. Maybe later if I keep this truck. Just set and forget it. Love my tune.

You get what you pay for and BlackBear is the way to go. I'd personally save up the other $300 and then get a BlackBear instead of jumping the gun and buying one of the other two because they meet what cash you have available at the moment. Unless your truck simply will not move without being tuned, save for the BB.

Kpv I too am curious about the tuners you have listed...and I will even add Superchips to it. Be nice if people would stay on topic. You asked for something other than Black Bear and the others...yet that is all anyone talks about. Lets get more information on this board...

Just picked up a 16' Sierra with the 5.3 and a factory installed GM Performance exhaust. On my older Silverado I had Justin tune, now thinking of tuning this new one. I have the autocal already so adding a 2nd VIN is simple. How much improvement are you all seeing. How about with the 8sp? I have the new All Terrain.

I have the "Diablew Tune", i really like and its the only "tune" ive ever had. Are the Black Bear and others just that much better?
