Finished my install.  All is working except the glove box USB.
I didn’t have any open USB’s on my HMI.
2018 parts, so my iPhone 8 and wife’s X are wireless charging.
Have my upgraded HMI on the way to get Apple car play and other later model features.
Thanks for your help Phil!

Nice!

So you’re upper Glove USB (single) USB Port uses the Green Port on the HMI. Are you using this port to drive the front hub?

Is your front HUB a Double USB?

If so, you can try to return the Glove Box USB into the green port.

Then use a Black to Grey. Grey going into the Front hub. Then a Black to Brown to feed the inside storage compartment Hub?

If you want to try an get all the USB ports working :)

The black port on the HMI already had a wire hooked to it.  What does it feed?  Does it feed the USB that was under the jump seat not being used?

So you’re saying disconnect the existing black and go with the new black to grey on the input of the front hub?

Yep. The black port is the cable under the passenger seat. You when you unplugged the jump seat, that USB cable is what feeds the inside compartment.

So....

You can unplug that cable with the black end. Use a black to grey. Grey to front USB Hub. Then use a Black to Brown from the front hub to feed the inside storage compartment hub.

Phil,

sounds good. I didn’t know what the black port fed. It all makes more sense now.

thanks!

Yup.

With a Double USB Port Hub up front, this allows you to daisy chain (loop) in and out of this hub to feed the inside compartment one, using the (1) Black USB Port off the HMI.  Then you can use the Green port to retain the glove box port :)  That is how I have it setup on mine.

For some thought, that output from the Front Hub is not passing that USB Data Logic...So they have to use the Green port.  If they have a Glove Box USB, they'll have to abandon that.

The part number listed is wrong for the green to grey.

84022315 is the correct part number for the (green to grey) cable.

The cable part #s are correct. Some sites have updated their databases and show the superseded part #. If the part #s don’t show up on some sites, they may show up on others.

I order all my stuff through GMPartsGiant.com since they ship out of Dallas.

Phil,

I'm sorry I checked the number that you said worked on GMPartsGiant.com and it doesn’t work either.

Who ever typed that number fat fingered it.

I figured it out by checking the number on the black to brown: 8402232 and noticed how similar it was.  I decided to switch the 2 and 3 that we’re fat fingered for the black/green and it worked.

84022315 works on both GMPartsnow.com and GMPartsGiant.com. 84023215 works on neither.

You’re absolutely right! Lol. I fat fingered that one! I corrected my notes.

On my thread, the original part # 19303284 was superseded by 84022315.

You are correct.

Some sites don’t ever update their superseded part #s and will say “discontinued” while the same part # turns up a superseded part # on another site.

Thanks for the heads up!
