Ceramic coating paint protection

Recommended Posts

Problem is once the Ceramic Coating is applied, not a good idea to apply the film since it may not stick in the long run. Usually the film is placed first with the Ceramic Coating over the top. It can be done, but problems may arise later on.

Never did it myself but I think I got a good deal on it. $1000 CAD for 2 coats including exterior and interior glass. I think I will do it myself on my next vehicle if I have a garage by then. Lack of garage was the main reason I never tried to do it myself.

You missed the boat on the clearshield.  You're supposed to do the paint correction, clearshield, then coat it with ceramic afterwards, as mentioned above.  It will not stick correctly to the coating...

Probably for the best. I didn't want to drop the money on it anyway. The ceramic is good enough I think. I'm sure I will still get rock chips but I cant justify dropping a couple grand on plastic ?

I opted in for both...But only because I have a friend who owns a shop and is an installer...That and I'm in Alberta where everything gets sand blasted.
