When you set the instrument panel to metric the analog speedometer gauge goes to MPH. When you change settings to U.S. the speedometer reads KM/H. However the analog gauge doesn’t match the digital no matter what.
I’ve taken it to the dealer and even tried dealing directly with GM. All I get is the run around. They’re blaming on the truck originally being sold in Canada although it was assembled in the US. Seems the cluster is malfunctioning to me.
I clicked a couple pictures with the cruise set so maybe a little better understanding.
Any ideas?

if the truck was sold in canada the the speedometer should read 0 to 200 kph, your truck has an american speedometer, point that out to the dealership. at any rate it is way out of range and they should be able to do something about that

Thanks for your response! That’s something I hadn’t thought of. By chance anybody out there have a metric speedometer they could post a picture of?

What’s the history of the truck?

did you buy it new?

oil pressure is off a Canadian Speedo.

gas or diesel? The 5k tach isn’t for a gasser.

I Think you have someone’s Frankenstein.

I bought the truck used a few months ago. Dealer promised they’d fix it. Carfax said it was first purchased in Canada. Was assembled in Flint MI according to the little sticker. It’s the L5P Duramax.
