Just like the 6.6 dmax, the turbo, scr and dpf make it quiet enough that there is no muffler or resonator.

On the 6.6 the emission stuff is under the truck.

On the 3.0 it's in the engine bay.

Visual inspection will require opening the hood....

I would think someone like Edge and Banks could get us a little more though with emissions intact.  Even a 50HP and maybe 50-100TQ gain would be substantial.  I am not looking for the 200HP/350TQ gains we see with our big brothers as I have had numerous 6.6s.

S&B is working on an intake, nothing for bolt on exhaust either so going custom is the only way but I would wait on that. I did a 4" filter back system and it hardly made a difference sound wise. Not worth the time/money in my opinion

Exhaust won’t do much on the lm2. It’s basically straight as it can be. Tuners are needs to get rid of the emissions then you could get some real sound of on it and some extra power.

all patiently waiting for tuners and other goodies to hit the market

I am awaiting the S&B intake.

The exhaust is a straight pipe already, so there's no changing that.

AG diesel or whomever has some box out that adds power but it has two connectors ( i believe) and it just seems like a basic fooler box. those never work out as expected over time.

Banks is the one to watch as they understand how things work (watch their l5p comparison with the edge unit)

I emailed Banks a couple weeks ago and the response was "support is coming around next Summer". Hopefully that means Summer 2021 and not 2022. I'd get that and the S&B intake when it is out, even if the intake is basically for sound. Hoping they (Banks) can bring the LM2 up over 300hp and 500 lb/ft. Deleted diesels sound cool but not sure I'd want to go messing with that stuff.

I've been running one for about 1500 miles with about 85% of those are highway cruising.  It does make a noticeable increase in power but I haven't dynoed or timed it so how much I can't say. Playing with it Durning normal cruise I can't really tell a difference when changing to different settings. The mpg economy screen in the dash is reporting about 2 mpgs better than before I had it installed, so it is doing something, but I haven't hand calculated the mileage to verify that either(not really concerned with mileage). As a side note, I've been using sport mode more often since install, but even leaving the transmission in normal mode you can feel it has more power down low. I have yet to try manually shifting and just let the transmission do its thing in either mode.

I did log some via HPtuners and I can't really see a noticeable increase in egt but I'm no pro especially when it comes to diesel.

Over all it will hold me over until real tuning is available and im satisfied with it. Might jump over to the Banks Derringer once it's available if HPtuners still hasnt cracked the ecm by then, and sell this since the Derringer is supposed to keep the extra power longer. Check out the comparison video Banks does on the Derringer vs the other guys on the L5P if you haven't watched it already. I suspect that similar things are happening with the LM2.

Heavy towing, lets add 15hp.  LOL.   Am I reading that right?

    • So you're saying toss the baby out with the bathwater? @txab posted article was her take on how AI can be used to manipulate pricing as it already does and has been rebuked by the judiciasry in housing. How AI can be and is used to maximize refinery or even Amazon operations all of which are true but because she is who she is; that makes what she says about what is true, false? Is that something akin to Pre-justice aka prejudice?    Look, I'm first in line to approach all information with caution just because we live in a world where people like to lie about someone or something with such a straight face and in such volume that it makes digging to the truth wearisome. Meaning I understand the skepticisms but if I were to toss out everything a person is for a view they hold then my pool of people to draw wisdom from would be non-existent and I'd be forced to reinvent the wheel daily. Not practical.    "Be innocent as a dove but as cautious as a serpent."    Test each word. Every good lie is part truth or no one would believe it. Find the truth in it and reject what isn't.    On this one, AI is being used to do what has been done by hand for hundreds of years already but at such speed, the point of a computer, that it is more easily monetized. This one wasn't that hard a lift.    I wrote a few formulas in a Lotus 123 program decades ago, a series of linked Macros actually, that allowed a daily inventory to be turned into a running P&L and production plan. Something that took three departments a week to assemble now took the time it takes to input the 'daily changes' in inventory. Later that was ungraded to the more powerful Excel program an and integrated with bar code scanning, inventory to supply was done once per shift. It had a huge impact on production scheduling, Seamless interruption flexibility, inventory error reduction, raw materials cost effective utilization and scrap reduction. Huge improvement in the bottom line. I spent months on that and AI could have done it in minutes. So yes, it not only can be used, they would be foolish to not try. The legality, ethics and morality are not the domain of AI. Humans need to keep a reign on it.
    • New to this forum.  Also looking to tune a 6L80 and trying to work out all the issues in my transmission swap.  I have a 6.2 diesel (1983) and have removed the TH-400 and about to put in a 6L80 with a TCM-2600 interface and don't have a clue what I doing after that.  Did you (Leatherneck/RAV3) get your slip resolved? I too hate to spend that kind of money on a tuner that hopefully I will not need too many times although from what steelerdude15 added about the HP Tuner being great for diagnostics would be a plus.  I am also from WNC but below you in Columbus.  Any helo would be greatly appreciated.
