All you have to do is send them the link to the vibration thread along with some video links from youtube! Give them your short story on what you have experienced

Wish someone knew a US Rep or Sen that was against bailing out GM. Or a 60 Minutes reporter

This ^^^ is why there's little to no chance of any media outlet picking up this story and running with it. GM is basically a gov't owned entity now and IMO the gov't will ultimately control what the media reports and what they don't. Big gov won't shoot themselves in the foot on this one folks. My thoughts are we can all pretty much forget about this becoming a main stream media issue. And we are left to deal with this issue ourselves. Again this is just my opinion and we all know what opinions are like. : ) Edited by cato

Curious why more people are not taking advantage of the BBB. We have seen what they will do for you at not cost to you. Why not take advantage of that ? If my dealer wasn't already doing MSRP trade assist for me I am sure I would be speaking with the BBB. And I probably will if I go through the same issue with my 2016 when it gets here, unless my dealer moves me to a 2017 after that lol

If I didn't need my truck for work I would be back and forth to the dealer but I need it for work so I have to work it around my busy schedule. May just trade it in and be done

This is becoming a second full time job for us too! Second truck, second attempt already - it's starting to get old!

I ain't got time for a second job lol. I don't wanna take another chance with another k2 gm truck. I'm not giving up on them, but for right now I think it's in my best interest to look into a Ram or Ford 2500 (heard the gm HD k2 have the same vibe issues as well)

Didn't know that. So then the gov't has no hand in GM whatsoever now?

My bad. Apologies.

Now it makes me wonder why doesn't the media pick this up and run with it???

Thanks

A buddy of mine got his 2015 2wd 5.3 CC silverado a couple weeks after i got my 2015 z71 4wd, he already took the offer to have the truck exchanged based on engine vibration and got a new 15 2wd 5.3 identical to one he originally purchased. I am glad to see our local dealer is willing to work with him on that.

I will be taking mine in next week, My 2015 silverado z71 4wd 5.3L has 2200 miles and it has major hesitation speeding up from 45mph to 65mph. Once it finally downshifts to 5th or 4th gear it will get up to speed. When it goes back into 6th it will make a loud clunk sound you can hear and feel in the cabin. I am able to replicate this every time. Dealer wont take in for service till next week.

Anyone else experiencing that this transmission problem ?

Hmm, I wouldn't say that. The gov't has their hands in everything, from CAFE to safety to emissions, from NHTSA to DOT to EPA at the very least.

I just bought a 2015 Chevy Silverado LTZ. It has 1100 miles on it and I am feeling the EXACT vibration in the steering wheel, pedals and floorboards that you are. My dealer said they have never heard of this issue before and recommended I let it "Break In" or "Learn" before I brought it in to get it diagnosed. I will wait until my first oil change before I get it diagnosed, but from what I have read here, this is an issue that GM has not resolved yet.

I also get the "Clunk" sound when the truck shifts when I am getting up to speed quickly, but I cannot replicate it everytime.

You're good bud. And I wouldn't say the gubment doesn't have a say in what gm does. Probably told them to make the trucks shake and vibrate [emoji23]

    • Ahh, sorry about that - I got some bad info. Newdude is correct. That's what I get for working 13 hours straight ... on my "vacation", lol.   Should've checked the files I had instead of the internet.   Anyway ... this is GREAT news, since this would've been an absolute friggin nightmare to get working.   I'm telling you right now, your computer isn't bad. If it worked before the swap, it's working now. You need to do some more (better) diagnostics and figure out exactly what you're missing. Did you test every wire directly at the MAF? Have 5V reference? Ground? If you're reading ZERO g/s, your Hz isn't much use - it's going to be the wrong value anyway. The MAF is not working, and you need to find out WHY.   I got this off the net, so VERIFY first: Pin A: Black (BLK) wire, Circuit 552, serves as the Sensor Return (Ground).  Pin B: Tan (TAN) wire, Circuit 472, carries the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) signal.  Pin C: Yellow (YEL) wire, Circuit 492, is the primary MAF Sensor Signal output to the PCM. Pin D: Pink (PNK) wire, Circuit 339 or 539, provides Ignition 1 Voltage (Power).  Pin E: Tan/Black wire, Circuit 552 or similar, often associated with the Intake Air Temperature ground or signal return.  Global-A list: https://postimg.cc/KKJnQC85
    • Correct....the end user can't reach to Realtruck directly like they can if they purchase a Bak, Undercover, etc...  It has to go through a dealer.
    • It is 4wd. shop told me it is the slip yoke. But not sure.
    • No, I did not tune out vvt. From what I read it should still be able to run without it, it'll just lose some torque/power.    I can see how that would make it not run correctly, but why would that cause the faulty MAF readings?   EDIT: I just ran a quick test and checked, and as I expected, the computer sees that the VVT cam phaser solenoid is not present, and throws a code for it, and does not try to change the cam angle at all. Commanded position just remains at zero, 100% of the time. This makes me think that the VVT is most likely not the cause of the problem though if anyone has a different/better explanation, I'm all ears.   UPDATE: I was able to find that my scan tool does indeed support reading the frequency (hz) off of the MAF (I thought it wasn't supported but turns out I just didn't know where to look for it). I noticed that regardless of engine state it always however this Is not what I observed with my multimeter. Like I said before, the MAF seems to put out a normal signal during cranking and then the signal drops to a very erratic reading once the engine is running. It seems from what my scan tool is telling me that the ECM is not recognizing this at all, and just reads 0 Hz 100% of the time. This pushes me towards the the PCM itself is faulty. I I have the PCM out of the 2007 donor vehicle, which I may try to connect and program (it's only ~50 bucks to get the software for a one-time programming)
    • Did you tune out the VVT?  07-09 they did not have VVT.  2010-2013 they did.      If you haven't tuned it, its trying to adjust cam timing.
