For all of you guys that are continuing to take your trucks back to try to get them fixed, after the 3rd or 4th attempt if the problem remains, you all need to get a lemon law attorney and be done with it. This of course if you live in a state that has lemon laws in effect. I took my truck in 4 times to two different dealers and had a service rep come to my home and drive my truck and had him put in writing what he experienced. Nothing different happened. So I got an attorney.

The first and only offer that I received from GM was that they were going to buy back my truck. That tells me that this vibration problem is bigger than you would think. So big in fact that my lawyer informed me that GM has experienced a 65% increase in lemon cases this year alone.

So my advice is to do yourself a favor and after you have a few attempts of them trying to fix your truck, get a lawyer. It will not only save you hassle and headache, but you'll get all your money back that you put into the truck to begin with (minus a small portion for the miles that you have driven prior to reporting the problem).

Turned my truck in yesterday and I loved that truck. I hope GM pulls their heads out of their butts on this.

Good luck.

Brandon

Hey Brandon, I appreciate the advice. Thank you

I have had two great GM dealers to work with. The first one their tech was unable to show that my truck was out of spec. The service manager did acknowledge that there was an issue. They did do multiple attempts to road force balance the wheels/tires However this dealer did start talking about buy back.

The second shop showed on the picometer that my truck has a vibration. They are rebuilding the rearend, Getting 4 new tires and rear shocks.

Hopefully next week I will come back and tell you this is over. However I realize this will probably not be the case.

Truthfully I don't want to do a buyback. I love my truck. This is my absolute last resort.

Lets say I get a buy back. Then what? Ecoboost? 2016 6.2 with the 8 speed?

Don't need a 2500HD. Won't do the 6.0 2500. Don't like Dodge.

This is how mine feels. In the pedals, floor board, seat, steering wheel and console,. Like a vibrating massage chair gone hyper speed and making you feel sick

A little update with my truck...2015 Sierra z71 cc 5.3L bought brand new and have had nothing but problems. Since 7/20 my truck has been at the dealer 62 days. The dealership offered a trade assist on two lesser trucks that were not of my choosing. In addition to that MSRP for MSRP trade has been refused. I've since talked with my GM Senior Advisor and informed him he has one of three options to satisfy me;

1) MSRP for MSRP without me paying for mileage.

2) 100% purchase price refund with no penalty for mileage....or

3) Start my claim with BBB.

I was informed that I would be hearing from the DM within 1-4 business days. However, at this point I'm tired of dealing with these sorry @$$ mother#_@+×#'s and have now traded in my patience and willingness to work with them for a Lemon Law lawyer. I'd recommend doing this so no one has to deal with this crap any longer. I'll be posting results soon.

Maybe it's been answered already but if the problem is with the body mounts anybody try and install body mounts from a GMT-900. I don't know if the would fit or not but just a thought.

I have a vibration issue. Went through BBB, arbitrator said he could feel no vibration. Had 2 GM engineers at hearing and one from Chevrolet on speaker phone. Talk about being double (triple) teamed. Problem here in Texas is that the dealer ship gave me a loner car for 5 of the 6 visits. Therefore, I cannot use Lemon Law in Texas, Kinda sucks! I really have no recourse left. Good luck!

that makes absolutely no sense, I'd call a lemon law attorney.... or another one if you actually got that info from one. Since when does an arbitrator go for a ride in the truck? thats insane, sounds like your getting railed buddy

If you check the Lemon law of Texas, that's "a fact, Jack"....if the dealership supplies or rents a vehicle for you, those trips do not count!. I kinda thought that's what a BBB arbitrator did....drive the vehicle in question. I think I will check with a Lemon Law lawyer.

thanks

How would a loaner abolish your rights under lemon law?

Curious to hear what the lawyer says.

Im also here in texas.

Ive been to the shop once and im at 10k miles. I got a loaner for the 1 visit. And it vibrated also..LOL

Mine has been in the shop 4 times, out of service for 60+ days and they didn't offer a loaner the first time when I was without for 17 days. All of those constitute a lemon law. Get a lawyer because they are screwing you!

I've had three loaners and two of them shook like they were having a seizure.

I just spoke with a local dealership here in Ohio. They have a test pig coming into their shop on Wednesday to fit an experimental kit for V6 / V4 vibration. A GM engineer will be on site to do the install. He and I will be in contact then to discuss the kit in more detail. If all goes well, he will personally contact my dealership to oversee the ordering and installation of the kit. This guy seemed to care more about fixing my truck than my dealer I bought it off of.

My truck had absolutely ZERO vibrations until it hit around 500 miles, then it started with the 3-4 shift and spread to 1 through 4 and most recently up some hills in 4th.

Mine feels like a cell phone is going off on vibrate on a table top (but on my floor). I can feel it in the floor and gas pedal. I have no suspension or wheel issues, I believe it's the TC in the trans or the rear axle.

I had this same "gas pedal vibration" on my truck. This was the first issue I noticed, and was the basis for my BBB case. GM was never able to get it to completely go away, even after 4 service visits.

It feels like you described, a cell phone vibration going on and off...or running over rumble strips...2 seconds of buzzing, 2 seconds smooth, over and over. For me it was only around 68-70mph when it did this. Super annoying.

Keep all your service records, start up a BBB case and go from there.

The one issue with this is for people that buy on GM employee or supplier discount pricing. In exchange for the discount, GM asks you to sign a piece of paper saying you will never sue them over the vehicle. You can still go to the BBB and arbitrate your case, but likely will never get a refund...only MSRP trade. I am on the way with my second truck and second trade...my only question is how many years I will have to do this until they build non-vibrating trucks.

The one silver lining is that I have been driving trucks for over a year now and haven't paid a dime for the use/miles I have put on the trucks.

Aside from that, LOVE the truck, so I hope there is a fix out there for it eventually. So far, I think you're the only other one that has had my exact issue (from what I read, no way I could read this whole thread, just skimmed it). Everyone else seems to have a much more serious shaking, or whole truck vibrating issue. So far, mine is limited in feel to the gas pedal and floor board.

I don't get on the interstate often, but I did this weekend for the Clemson game, butter smooth all the way to +/-75 mph (as fast as I went), except for the 1-4 upshifts and sometimes up a hill for a few seconds if it downshifted to 4th or 5th.

How did you handle your dealer looking at it four times? Mine told me "they couldn't replicate it." Where would I go from there? Another dealer? Same dealer and demand they "feel it?"

Also, since "ours" is apparently different than most others... what types of things did your dealer try to repair it, and where did they think it was originating from? To me it feels like a TC issue as mine is only during shifts and up hills.

I don't want a buy back or another truck. I want this one without the vibrating floor board option. I didn't see that one checked off on the window sticker...

Well, they replaced shocks on mine, and I'm assuming the "pico" readings were still not good as they called this morning and are replacing the rear axle assembly. Maybe this will fix it...

Glad to hear some of you are getting taken care of one way or another .

I don't think they need another test truck when all they need is a tuning fork with wheels , would be a better comparison .
