Are 2014's allowed to join?

Absolutely. I also updated the group name to include MY 2014.

I requested to join, and noticed that there is nothing on there mentioning silverado or sierra, its all SUV's sh*t

And you know this for a fact ? You know exactly what was changed on the 2016s correct ? You are 100% confident that the ONLY changes were cosmetic.

I was at my Chevy dealer today. They had at least a dozen 2016's on the lot. I spoke with one of the sales people and asked a numbered of questions about suspension, engine, tranny, tow packages, etc and I was told that the 1500 2016 changes are all just cosmetic. Even the 6 speed is still standard.

I did drive a New 2016 HD CC 4x4 which was an awesome ride, no vibes at all. If only it wasn't $60k. I also drove a 2015 DC z71 and it also drove nice, well past 80mph and it was pretty smooth. It didn't have the petal vibe/buzz that my 2014 has.

Cosmetic & an 8 speed tranny

Oddly all the 2016's I looked at today, z71 DC's and CC's all seemed to have the 5.3 with a 6 speed.

I was specifically want to drive ones with max tow and tow mirrors and none of the 2016's were that and I ran out of time before I had to go back to work.

I think if the 2016 trucks sat taller they would look really good. Bet they look awesome lifted

I agree. Most trucks look better lifted, lol. One of the reasons I test drove the 2016 HD. That thing sat at a nice height.

My next truck is an HD. Love how tall they set, and most of the newer diesel, if babied, get as good if not better fuel economy than my 5.3L gas truck with much more potential

And back on topic after I got my free oil change and tire rotation today, oh they also did recalls on the rear brake lines and 4x4 transfer case reprogramming, my petal vibe/buzz felt worse. My guess is due to the tire rotation. They still say what I feel is due to stiff suspension/Rancho shocks and my larger Toyo LT AT2 tires....

I am proceeding with working with the General Manager of the dealership. He was unaware of the issues and we reviewed my service history. He visited several internet links about the vibrations as we talked. He looked astounded as he read the common list of repairs that were done with no fix: tires, drivelines, axles, rearends, etc. I felt very comfortable that he would manage this properly and he let me know that he is on my side with this and that it needs fixed or I need out of it.

He was also surprised that he had another open Silverado case with GM sitting outside his service department.

By the way I was told the PICO crashed when they were testing mine but they admit that something was definitely vibrating and there is no fix yet. That sounds like they gave up hope on fixing any vibrations.

I am not sure what deal we can cook up but may consider a Colorado to avoid these issues.

My 70+ vibes were cured after a rebalance and tire rotation a few thousand miles ago (now have 6500) and this is what fears me, the next tire rotation...

Has anyone tried mounting a GoPro under their truck to find just what exactly is vibrating?

This guy did it on his 65 mustang to find a suspension noise:

I had one, but I broke the damn thing on the Hot Rod Power tour back in June, I had the back open, the mount came off the windshield, and I knocked over my Dr. Pepper trying to grab it and the inside got coated with it.

I'm sorry but I find this extremely hard to believe, a dealer hasn't heard of the issue, these trucks have these issues reported for 2 years now. I hope it works out for you.

Another thing I noticed while looking at the 2015's and 2016's on the lot yesterday is that they all had 18" wheels. Even the "all star edition" package that seems to be very popular around here and most trucks had included includes 18" wheels where I swear back in 2014 when I was looking at trucks the "all star edition" packages came with the 20" or 22" wheels. I wonder If they can mask the vibes more with the smaller wheel and taller tire sidewall.
