If I take the offer, I will be trying to switch to sierra because I don't like the new look of the Shakerados.

Go for it, you might get lucky. But a new truck can't be worse than what you already have? At the very least, a newer truck is better trade bait than your current one.

Take the new one and drive it right to a Ford dealer and trade it in, don't wait for it to start vibrating. That is if they actually do build it for you. That is what happened to me, full trade assist and then GM just won't pick the order for production. The order just sat in the system for a couple months until i gave up and walked away. In my case it was just another stall tactic by GM. Hope it works out better for you.

I think the most messed up part is how all those trips to the shop don't get reported. The shake must not get passed on. Somehow the VIN needs to get tagged.

I say go for it Jesse and go for the buy back , even though it hurts me deeply to say that . But I would definitely test drive a few to see if there shaker/vibrators .if any vibrate I'd pass and go to the lemon law . You've got them offering a buy back now so you've got that on the bargaining table as far as there admitting the issue .

With that being said I couldn't be happier since I traded mine in . It was like a breath of fresh air and enjoying my new Ram for about year now that seems to just keep getting better . No rattles no nothing and that hemi is impressive as hell .

Update. After 3 weeks of my truck being in the shop and 3 trips back to the dealership where they put on new rims and tires and said the problem was fixed then i test drove it and said i will not accept my truck back in this condition they found of my rear axle is 8 degrees off. they ordered shims to correct this issue and we will see in a few days if this fixes my vibration issue.

Yea, thats kinda how I'm looking at it. Either way, I'm still terrified of getting another vibrating truck.

Unfortunately there is no law requiring anything to be reported. Anything you see on a carfax or any other report is what was submitted voluntarily by the shop.

Unfortunately, I think I'm going to have to go this route.... maybe a 2017 6.2 Denali won't have any issues :crackup: .... it'l cost me a bunch of money, itll cost less than what I'd lose trading mine in now though.... or I could get a 2017 SLT fully Loaded and pay nothing.... what to do, what to do

That's a tuff one , I think I'd go SLT just incase you run into any issues . That way if the unspeakable happens you won't be loosing as much .

Don't think I'd be able to step up that much after my Experience to take that big of a gamble rolling the dice .

I've lost all my trust and loyalty to GM unfortunately .

I agree that I likely wouldn't lose as much, should the unspeakable happen, but that being said. from all of the research I've done, the Denali seems to have the least number of reported vibration issues..... so pairing that with the 6.2L would be the least likely to vibrate.... and it would be work a lot more than the SLT just because it is the Denali.

It looks like the vibration saga continues. I traded my truck 3 months ago for a 2016 Ford F150 Crew Cab 5.0L 4x4. It was the best move that I have ever made on a vehicle given my bad luck with GM. I will NEVER own another GM product in my lifetime nor will my son or daughter (their decision) after seeing most of my problem vehicles.

 

-1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera - Infamous factory paint defect blamed on acid rain

-1995 Chevrolet Silverado Extended Cab 2WD - Bucking and jerky engine when warm (61,000 miles). GM lead mechanic told me to trade it when it was running good after 5 failed attempts to diagnose and fix it on my dime.

-2001 Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab 2500HD 4WD - Lemon lawed and bought back by GM despite making every attempt to discredit my case. After they lost the ruling, I was contacted in a last ditch effort to replace the engine so they did not have to buy it back.

-2015 GMC Sierra Crew Cab 4Wd - Traded after attempts to fix the vibration issues failed and GM was not interested in finding a solution or admitting a problem.

 

Here is my solution:

 

2016 Ford F150 Lariat replaced 2015 GMC Sierra SLT

After a Tire Balance (LF was 1 1/2OZ off) and rotation in June 2015 my vibes were gone... I have been following thread because I am nervous to rotate tires again... Well now the truck has 10,200k miles on it and tomorrow, 06-18-16, I am getting the Free Oil change, 27 point inspection and TIRES ROTATED... Has anyone had their Vibe issues return after a Tire Rotation?

After my final repair attempt, I took my truck to Sullivan tire to have get everything checked so i could have proof in arbitration. I also had them rotate the tires to test that exact thing. I can tell you if they are balanced properly and the RFB numbers are about equal, you won't notice much if any difference.

 

***EDIT***

if your tires are not truely round, and they have a hop to them, rotating them may make a difference, as would if the rim isn't round
