I don't think so, as I believe it's only stored in the IP.

Note, if you just bought the truck, you can't really trust the mileage displayed either, as it's also only stored in the IP, and it's trivial to swap the IP.  I'm don't know if the IP stores a copy of the VIN so it's possible to check with something like a tech ii, if not, you can only tell if the IP isn't programmed right (for example, if you have 4wd, and it's working right, but the 4wd light on the IP doesn't come on, stuff like that).

Last night, when I got home, a little over 37MPH in the last (almost) 18 months.

I have 103,800 miles and like 2840 hours, so roughly 36-37mph too.

 

Since I've owned I bet I've done 50+ hours of idling over the past two winters LOL.

Ive read thru this thread, cant tell if the the average of 30 mph or 40 mph means it idled more. Sorry an someone tell me? Im at 96573 miles and 3060.5 hours. What does it mean? God bad or Average?

Some service books will give service intervals in both hours and miles. Diesel particulate filter service comes to mind. First one I found equated 100,000 miles to 3,000 hours or 33.3 mph. Ford Fleet Services maintenance equates a hour of idle time to an equivalent wear of 30 mph but this same service indicates that most fleet vehicles they track average 36 mph. 

 

To me that suggest that normal is somewhere between 33.3 and 36 mph. So more of a range than a hard target. Your vehicle is 31.6 mph.

My truck is at 110,000 miles and it has around 4,000 engine hours. Not exactly ideal, but it is what it is. It was a fleet vehicle I bought used and they idled it a lot. Doesn't bother me all too much and I've been very conservative since then, but it is something that I kind of think about from time to time, lol.

Yes, 27.5 is pretty low. This kind of service in my garage would call for a pretty short oil change interval. 

 

I have 3600 hours on Pepper and she's clocked 151,790 or 42.2 mph and I'm not a fast driver. 5K OCI's.

Hi Guys.

 

I just bought a used GMC Yukon XL 2013 in Saudi Arabia. I am in doubt of Odometer reading authenticity, the reading says 110,000 km (68,750 miles) but Engine Hours seems very high to me - 3800 for this odometer reading.

 

Is it normal or am I being duped by the dealer (though I don't know he was in knowledge of any possible interference with odo reading from the original Owner). 

 

Would love to hear feedback from you guys (even if the outcome is bad for my investment ).

It could be legit.  I put on about 130k over the last 7 years or so on my truck, and I believe the hr meter is in the low 3000's now (it had reset shortly before I bought it, was sitting around 325hrs then).  It's a daily work truck, not a lot of idling, around the city...
