I just completed a 6-inch suspension lift on a 2019 Suburban Premier 4x4.  The Adaptive Cruise control keeps stating "Temporarily Unavailable".  What do I need to do?  Recalibrate the radar box behind front bumper?  Relocate the radar box?  Is there any way to bypass the radar system and have standard cruise control???

Thank you for your help!

Not sure take it a gm dealer  to make the repair if possible.  This kind of customization  can affect the factory driver assistance systems.

Yikes :( The K2 trucks don't have ACC, even the T1s won't until MY 2020 so there isn't much precedent. The dealer would be your best bet.

Any luck with this?  I just finished a 7" lift on my '17 Yukon XL and I am getting the same thing.

The module behind the front bumper has an adjuster screw, and I tried angling it down one turn at a time, but after 5 full turns it still does not work.

If I have to take it to a stealership I will, but I was hoping to find a DIY answer first!

Why wouldn't a dealer work on it?

Even though my truck is out of warranty, adding a lift kit does not invalidate your warranty, so I don't see why a dealer would not be happy to take my money to adjust this.

Who knows. They may take a shot at it. If it only stopped after a 7" lift then the cameras and radar are so far out of whack it may never work again. Good luck though.

May never work again?  Pretty negative!  LOL

I am quite certain they can be adjusted, and if necessary, custom brackets fabricated.

The lane departure and vehicle detection systems, which rely on the camera behind the rear view mirror on the windshield, seem to be working just fine.

I suspect the radar portion of the ACC is more sensitive, but there is absolutely no reason this can't be corrected.

I was just hoping I would be able to do it myself, but I will get it working one way or another.

No updates, I have not had a chance to get it to a stealership yet.   The truck did work great out deer hunting, it seemed very tall in my driveway, but is just right out in the rough stuff.

I did get accused of being some crazy city slicker for taking such a nice looking truck up some pretty ugly roads though!  LOL

Any luck with getting the cruise control to work? I put an 8 inch kit on my 2017 Yukon xl Denali and took it to the dealer. They can’t do anything. They tried to recalibrate but no luck

Not sure what you guys expected. You modified your trucks (to the point of illegality) and expect everything to work perfectly? You made your bed, now lay in it.

Sorry for the delayed responses... I still haven't figured out a solution.  I changed my programmer to "Not" adjust for tire size and the sonar cruise works again.  I think it's something to do with calibration in the computer system for distance measurements for stopping or something.  My speedo is 5mph slow but everything works still.  I really want to find a relocation bracket so that I can do two things...1) add front tow hooks.  2) possibly change front bumper.

Thank you for your constructive criticism.  Very helpful input.  Unfortunately, you are incorrect.  Everything does work perfectly with the exception of the speedo not stating the correct MPH.  I can use "Kentucky Windage" of +5MPH to be accurate (as long as I can have one hand free to use fingers) or I can simply look at the Waze MPH on the GPS which is more accurate. The Magnetic ride front suspension works great!  The rear auto leveling air works great!  Zero issues.

I need the lift and additional clearance because I actually use my vehicle in areas that require it.  We crossed a river 8 times this weekend with 35 inch tires under water.  I use 4WD at least 2-3 times per week.  If I'm going to spend $86k on a vehicle, I can assure you it will do what I want.  Not "I will do what it wants".  I've got nearly 30k miles on this lift setup so far.  Pulling heavy enclosed trailers, off roading and highway driving.  My tires look barely worn, gets great mileage still and will hurt peoples feelings red light to red light.

You wouldn't believe the looks and comments we got just yesterday riding down jeep trails in the Burb with 7 passengers...

    • What’s missing in all this is patience and investment in the future. Buy a 170K starter home. Ten years later sell it invest in a more expensive home. Eventually you’ll have a 600K home and pay starter home payments. Buy a starter car. Maintain it well. Save the payments after it’s payed for then buy an expensive car if you desire. Buy a tumbler make your own coffee, pack your lunch. Cook your own dinner. Most importantly take care of your car.
    • People mislead themselves. Statistics are highly useful indicators.   Here's the tie-in to this thread. If an oil sample tests shows a wear indicator of 7 using cheaper ACDelco oil, and a wear indicator of 2 (lower = less wear) using a particular brand of Mobil oil, and wear has a linear relationship with engine lifespan, anyone could assume that Mobil is reducing wear by more than 50% (let's just say a 200% reduction for you red state people trying hard to do math) which leads to increasing engine life by 2x. Perhaps, in a vacuum, by itself, when dreamed by AI.   Yeah?! That's what the statistic is saying, isn't it?   No, it isn't. It didn't come out and say engine life is doubled. That's a very bad assumption, and a case of severe myopia by assuming something potentially untrue about the only data point in focus.   Average cost of a new car is 50k. You bet it is.   The median cost of a new car is more like 35k. Expensive cars are skewing the perception that "average" now means a $50k price of entry for a very average automobile. And that's not true. People who don't understand statistics twist the living heck out of them to mean all sorts of things they don't actually mean.   "Average" new car payment is $1000/month. Yep, it is. And in that number are all the $35k new car buyers who bring significant equity, and the $25k new car buyers who finance the car for a month just to get a rebate, and then pay it off. Know what isn't in that number? All the payments made by people who don't finance a car.   Picking one's own data point (don't have a car payment, never paid $50k for a new vehicle, my house cost $170k, I afforded a middle class lifestyle on $4.50/hr) is just a data point. Just like earning $25/hr in an area where the median home price is almost $1 Million is a data point. In fact, it's a lot of data points given that 80% of the US population lives in/around major cities. They're not idiots; the vast majority of them do it to make a living because that's where the big money is.   The highs have become higher, lows have become lower, and how your personal mileage varies is not truth for an entire country. At the same time you can't NOT acknowledge the data. While it doesn't paint YOUR personal picture, it certainly tints the reality that you also live in, as does your single data point.
    • Glad you had success with it. I did as well, but about 5-6 months later it returned. Tried again, same result. This was after the dealer made several attempts and never even got it to slow down.
