2014 Silverado Drivers side Door Lock

2014 Silverado drivers side door lock,  works sometimes and then not? What am I looking at to repair time and parts wise for a DIY job? Thanks in advance.

Probably simple as the switch.

It is probably your door lock actuator. My passenger door did that and once I replaced it, it was as good as new. And to boot, when I close the door now it more solid!

Door lock actuator is failing. Mine actually quit from one day to the next in the drivers door with no warning, 14 Sierra. GM is building these trucks cheaper and cheaper so electronics are failing for many people . Usually after warranty is out. That's all GM cares about when they build and test them for longevity.
