2014+ owners having issues with their truck?

I would really like if I could get a double cab of same value for the lemon crew. At least it's not made in MEXICO. Wondering if my truck was a cocaine mule of some sort. It is summit white);^)

So you're saying I should be concerned that my Silverado, which was built in Mexico, is of poor construction and could have possibly been used to carry drugs across the border?

Im upset because a 45k truck rattles like my 99 Cherokee that had tighter fitting doors. My 05 Z71 extended cab was tight as a snare drum.

So I found out I had a rod break from the piston, so I was running on 1 less, and Chevy only wants to replace the head, I asked how they were going to get out all/any metal, they said their shouldn't be much, this is what Chevy told us to do. REALLY, no metal, if a piece of metal shatters in a chamber where does it go? He had no answer for me.

I would not accept anything less then a new engine. If the rod came loose more then likely it was beating around in the cylinder. Replacing the engine is the only right way to fix it

It seems as if a good portion of problem trucks have been crew cabs. I believe it's the build date, because mine was built 6/2013. Production started April 26 with crew cabs. Chevy touts themselves as American and should build them here as well. Its embarrassing.

Why did you accept such a crappy truck? Didn't you test drive it first?

And what's so embarassing about a truck made in Mexico? I'd be more embarassed about having a UAW truck than a Mexican built one. What's wrong with people that live in Mexico?

I test drove it, but it took less than 1000 miles to bring up the problems. No problems with the people of Mexico esse'. Just want a good truck, not a POS. Im not here to start political crap and get booted. Being able to see others have problems let's me know im not the only one.

No, it appears you're just here to show your ignorance and for that I'm booting you!

For what its worth I have a crew and simply love the truck. I cant acutally remenber the build date but the only issue I had wad radio anf fan control backlighting... and that was fixed. 20 plus mpg country driving and quite inside. Great radio reception and no smoke... go figure. A truck from Mexico with no problems.

Where do I begin?

Truck Vibrates at highway speed (newly found, but "normal" apparently)

Always pulls to the right side though wheels are perfectly aligned and symmetrical

Massive rattling noise in passenger seat..

Window visors are falling off

Window is binding to the visors making them come off more

Cover clips are broken thus revealing parts (from day one)

Serious black smoke in colder weather even when plugged in (no other vehicle does this?)

That's all within 6500km of owning this vehicle from brand new.

2014 Sierra 1500 SLE

Crew

Standard Box

4x4

22" rims (Everything above also happens on 18" rims)

So? I have a truck from Canada with no problems.

My point. Just because someone gets a bad truck from a assembly plant doesnt mean their all gonna be bad. His maybe was built on Friday after lunch...

That should have read " certain assembly plant"

More than 60% of trucks sold today are crews I believe... This would explain more problems
