They said the pico said it had two bad tires. I put a new set of michelins on it, same behavior. They put the pico on it after new tires, and said i had 1 bad tire. Took back to tire shop and they said all the tires were in spec.

Going back in today, the general manager said he took a truck out and verified it did not have vibration (though as far as i can tell this seems to happen after a few miles are put on truck). They are going to take the wheels and tire off new truck and put on mine then see what pico says.

It's sad to see all of the new members and that their first posts is in this thread :tear:

I hope a final fix is close.

there will never be a fix, GM won't spend the money on it.

anyone else notice how there are no GM reps here anymore, and haven't been in quite some time?

I just heard back from the service manager, he said they are going to put a rear end in mine. I have around 38k on it fwiw.

If what I am hearing in this thread and others is correct, that is not going to fix the problem. *sigh*

It might some have reported it solved the issue. Other's say 70-90% improvement, a few said that it's only a temporary improvement but the vibes come back after time, which seems to be the case more and more often on here. The dealer does something (wheels, tires, prop shaft rear end etc.) and the issue goes away only to come back in a few weeks. The trucks are just too sensitive to parts at the high end of their tolerance and when you got a truck with multiple parts at their tolerance threshold you get a vibrator. The crew cab and double cab seem to be the major offenders.

Im getting more pissed by the day. That rattle and vibration just pisses me off. Over $50k on a truck and i get this shit. I even baby my truck and use it like a city slicker. Never even get it off road much

Shit. I spoke too soon. The 40-50mph vibration is gone, that was the one that felt like a rumble strip. That was fixed with new pinion, shaft & gears

.

Now I have the 70-75mph shimmy. Any solutions for that vibe/shimmy? Going back to the dealer in a few days...

We need an intervention. Hondas vibrate they get media coverage and news stories.

We need a yahoo article or a major news story to push our agenda. Shame them into a fix.

Again, we won't hurt GM individually. We need a way to get this blown up so that we steer new owners away from buying these shit boxes.

I've thought about trading in and getting an 06-07 2500hd with an LBZ dmax. Not as nice or quiet as my 14, but seem to have a lot less issues

If what Jesse D and other say is true, the 70-80mph shake is what will never be fixed.

Yes I had the same experience with the 40-50mph deceleration vibe in steering wheel...that was caused by bad rear axle. Replacing that normally fixes it, unless you get another bad axle.

It is sad that the only option there is, is to BBB or lemon law these trucks over and over.

My truck is in the shop right now, has been there for 6 days so far and engineers and supposedly looking at it. I would really like to know what they say and what they suggest to do at this point. If there are so many screwed up things with these trucks, their only option is to mask the problems right? Then when their tweaks get modified from a few bumps and normal driving, the issues come back.

Will just have to keep spreading the word, prevent others from buying these trucks, and keep lawyers and BBB involved until maybe the 4th or 5th truck we BBB will be the MY they actually have the issue fixed.

Here's to the BBB!

Hey Mike,

As you may or may not know, I started a thread about a class action suit. One of the firms came back with the mounts as being the issue but I couldn't divulge that info freely. However, now that other people have been posting about that being the cause, with the addition of dealers saying that GM isn't going to fix it. I can confirm that as the cause through the attorneys and their "inside sources". That firm would not take the case because in the eyes of the law, that is not a defect as the trucks are within warranty and SHOULD be fixed for free. Once the trucks are out of warranty, it would be considered a defect or design flaw and they then may be able to take the case. However by that point, we are way past lemon law and have to put up with the issues and still never know if they will even fix it after the lawsuit. I as well as others have heard that GM will not fix this because it would involve changing all of the mounts, meaning they have to put the trucks through all of the Government crash testing, regulation testing etc all over again. then issue a massive recall to change them on all of the roughly 1.2 million trucks sold in the 2014 and 2015 model years. Supposedly they haven't even made the fix in the 2016' so all of those people will be dealing with it as well and they will likely be coming here.

GM knows they have issues with these trucks. Dealerships have been told that if they want to be reimbursed they should not go rogue trying to find solutions without first asking permission from GM. Most dealerships will insist that they feel nothing and you are nuts. If you have lifts, levels, and/or aftermarket wheels and tires they will initially blame it on that until you remove them and then they won't be able to feel it. This is a mess, I am very suprised the media hasn't exploted this issue yet.

I see traded in 2014/15 GM trucks with less than 10,000 miles and tons of mods installed sitting at competitor dealerships everywhere. Who buys a brand new truck, mods it out with lifts, wheels, and tires and then trades it in with 8000 miles on it.

GM doesn't seem to really care about it. I think they have moved on, so if your truck has developed the dreaded shake and/or vibration and you're looking for it to be fixed by GM, don't hold your breath.

How do we get this forum link and youtube videos into the media's hands? Can I submit this to local news groups along with video evidence to support GMs craftsmanship issues and unwillingness to help. Just send it via email. Hopefully one picks up on it!

Wish someone knew a US Rep or Sen that was against bailing out GM. Or a 60 Minutes reporter
