This is so frustrating. I was very excited to buy my new 2014 thinking, "this truck is so badass" but everyday I'm disappointed. Anyone know a lawyer that could help us with a class action lawsuit?

My dealer is doing all they can to resolve this issue. Got a better idea?

I think all he was getting at is its best to hold off on getting any more of these same trucks until we are seeing the issue is fixed and there are no more widespread reports of vibration issues.

like maybe try a different brand or get a used 2012 truck and wait it out for the 2016 models to buy a new one

this is my plan and with my buy back I will get a 2005 or 2006 Silverado to use until I can trust that chevy isn't still selling lemons

First post and unfortunately, my vibration led me to you. I just purchased this vehicle last week and this vibration above 74mph is unbearable. I'll watch my drinks in the cup holders shake like I'm in an earthquake. This is embarrassing.

I have the 2014 Silverado LT All star edition. I absolutely love the truck and have put over 1000 miles on it in this week. But its been all highway mileage.

If this helps at all I had a 2003 Dodge Ram 4 door 4x4. It wasn't until the last year of ownership did it drive just like this truck is doing. What caused my Ram to change is just pure speculation. Here it is. It started shaking like this after I had the Transmission rebuilt. All the balancing of tires in the world didn't fix this issue and I got frustrated and sold the truck. Now I fear I have encountered this problem all over again.

I'm hoping that you guys that have gotten buy backs can answer this question.

How far can I push Gm to fix my truck? My dealer tells me gm doesn't want them doing any work on them until they come up with a fix. I just drove around to 2 chevy dealers and 1 gmc dealer and there is nothing out there I would be interested in having..without spending 4000.00 dollars and up. Give me a rental and fix my truck, they think its shocks and rear end, ok..install shocks and rear end.If its trans..install trans.I know some of you had that work done and still had problems. I think its a combination of tires, trans, diff and shocks. On the buyback..I don't agree on deducting depreciation. Gm willingly and knowingly sold us these trucks with various problems. maybe not in the early builds but I believe by March they knew they had some serious issues. Gm should eat the depreciation not us!

So, I have noticed that my truck vibrates a little while the transmission warms up, I have been monitoring the trans temp, and I get noticeable vibration until the transmission reaches a operating temp of over 180 degrees, after driving 45 minutes it reaches 194 and it's smooth as silk at all speeds, what's the issues with the transmission? Going to bring it up when I take my truck in to get a door ding fixed that was on it when I bought it

Anyone else notice this issue?

Yes, mine does this, but lately it seems to be doing it even after the transmission is warmed up. I think it has more to do with pressure then temp though.

the depreciation is just for miles driven which isn't much (10 cents a mile I think it is) and I was told by the GM rep handling my case that most times they don't even bother with that unless its over 2000 miles. it is not the same sort of big drop in value that normal depreciation is as far as trade in value, it is depreciated only for damage such as scratching up the paint in the bed or putting a lot of miles on it so you don't lose any of the original purchase price value at time of sale, then they only deduct for anything you did to it.

the reason they stopped trying to fix it is the 2015's are coming out so they just want to close the book on the 2014 fiasco and when the service dept works on it, everything the service dept does to the truck (parts and labor) is charged at full retail prices to GM just as though an independent shop were doing it, so GM doesn't want to continue to pay huge money for parts and labor costs for repairs they found rarely if ever solve the issue unless they "fool" the owner into accepting a lower level of vibration thinking it is just the road he is feeling.

it makes good sense to stop fixing them until they find the real problem so it can be fixed once and for all, I would prefer not to have my truck torn apart from front to rear replacing all sorts of things hoping to find something that works because once you do all that, things are just never the same and the truck never rides as good as new again (if it ever did ride good)

I live in Phoenix, the temp is always around 100 plus or minus. My truck vibrated first in the morning when cold. Also vibrate on long road trip through the mountains. Basically, all the time st highway speeds. For me, the temp doesn't seem to be a factor.

Here is the real question. How do we know GM is even working on or trying to figure out a fix for this issue? I think they are just putting out fires here and there trying to keep it contained without actually coming out and saying there is a problem.

well its just common sense for the company to do what is in its own best interest and is is definitely in their best interest to solve this issue and not have it repeated for the 2015 trucks, I agree they are just putting out fires here and there trying to keep it contained without actually coming out and saying there is a problem.

but that said, GM does care about its reputation for quality it has earned over the years as well as the expected level of quality in standing behind its vehicles when there is an issue and this hurts those reputations so that, along with costing them BIG money, this is a definite problem they want to solve.

IMO they certainly don't want to build the 2015 trucks using the same faulty components causing vibration issues or the rest of the things with issues like radios with the 2014's so they have incredible incentive to solve this thing.

while its natural to be skeptical about it they are definitely not going to stop searching for the solution IMO

They fixed the problem by changing the model year number. More suckers to trick into buying 2015 models, after all they are not 2014's anymore and they must be better.

Well I'll find out in about 6-8 weeks when my 2015 arrives equipped exactly the same as my 2014. The 2015 is the replacement truck for my 2014 which I traded in with GM trade assistance. I am trying to stay positive, key word "trying".

Edit: I hope it's fault free and flawless like Luster's truck when it arrives.

well you are a lot braver then me, I wont pull the trigger on another one until I start seeing multiple reports of them finding a fix and owners reporting their trucks are finally fixed and ride smooth as they should be.

im optimistic but waiting to see tangible confirmation of the problem is solved.

im also surprised people aren't paying attention because if they would take the cash buyout they can turn around and buy another one with around $3000 more then price reduction over their original purchase price they agreed to in the form of extra rebates and discounts off of the price of a new one so they are giving up around $3,000 in free money in the form of extra discounts and rebates being offered to get the lots cleared out to make room for the 2015's.

im thinking of picking up a 2005 or 2006 used one to "make due with" until they find the fix or until the 2016's are out and still being reported to be trouble free after 6-8 months

I wasn't offered cash buyout. I was only offered GM trade in assistance to make up for the equity lost from depreciation.
