M1ck3y Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 (edited) I don't get it, how do you break a pushrod by jumping it. Edited October 1, 2020 by M1ck3y
tyler.frost92 Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 I don't get it, how do you bend a pushrod by jumping it. Almost looks like you couldn't get enough speed and the front slammed back down on the incline? Lol the jump didn't cause the pushrod to break, happened two days later. Multiple dealer trips for ticking and they said it sounded normal. Failed 3k miles out of warranty. As far as the jump, I had plenty of speed but caught a rut on the way up and hit the lip of the jump fully compressed. Suspension took it just fine. Skid plate (plastic splash shield) not so much. Already got DOM tubing and aluminum plate on the way for a custom radius bar/skid plate. Pushrod situation will be fixed with a BTR cam, full dod delete, Johnson lifters, dual valve springs etc. All on the way. Assuming there's no piston/head damage. The cylinder/piston with the broken pushrod looked fine through the spark plug hole on a borescope. Just have to clear a space in the garage to wrench on it over winter. My18Silverado Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Put Klearz in my headlights. And took my bumper off to get powder coated 5
Fix29 Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Installed Motofab 2.5” front spacer and Kryptonite upper control arms. Rear will be going up 2” as well and hopefully have the new wheels/tires on this weekend.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 3
Ray Capobianco Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Found these tires/wheels on marketplace 20x9 et1 wrapped in 305/55r20 they rub on the little plastic fender guard things but a razor knife will fix that. A little loud but it’s whatever. Love the stance. 8
pgamboa Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Had the vacuum pump replaced under special coverage and the rear pinion seal replaced under power train warranty on my 2016.What were the symptoms?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1

A little bit narrower so I'm assuming they will fit just fine with no rubbing.
VdellaV Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Put LED bulbs on my Cargo Lamp/3rd brake light assembly (HMSL)

I originally wanted 285/60r20 but these were cheap so i scooped them up. 1
Granite7 Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 What were the symptoms? Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkOf the vacuum pump?At 10,000’ I would get the following error message after idling for 2 or 3 minutes. Truck felt hard to stop at times, more so when backing up. [At home @5,000’ I didn’t get the message.] Service write-up says they saw Code C0299 set. I imagine this is the flag that the error message above was triggered, or more likely the low vacuum condition was detected.
Granite7 Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 it starts ticking loudly on the lower driverside of the motor This was true of my truck as well. It has had that tick for the past year I have owned it. It was only slight, so I chalked it up to injector noise. After the new pump, I noticed the engine was much quieter (no tick). 1

I've thought it was the high pressure fuel pump/direct injection that was making that ticking noise for the last 5 years I have had the truck.

Got inspiration from a Google search pic that I included in this post. Pretty sure the owner is a member of the forum. Went wider with the stripes and to the edge of the hood. I think it turned out great. I also had the hood ceramic coated so they say it should last up to 4-5 yrs now. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk I was about to suggest to do something to accent the curves of the hood. THAT WORKS!!! 2
AdioSS Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 I put in a set of the lighted GMC door sills & trimmed the mats to not cover them up. But I didn’t mess with the wiring part.
