I had the vibration. I took it in to a buddy's shop and rear diff didn't have correct fluid level. We added to bring it to level. Swapped the cheap ass tires and bam vibration gone.

Rear diff being low on fluid would not be a cause for vibration IMO but the cheap tires definitely would. I just checked all the fluids in my truck a week or so a go and they all were at the correct level. I had to jack the truck up in the front to be able to fit my torque wrench on the front diff bolt.

He told me he has seen many 2015 with the low diff fluid. I took my 20" wheels off and put on OEM 18" with 275/75 Toyos and huge difference in ride. Vibration is gone. 2265fd8d490ee01a47e92d368c5d0e94.jpg

Does it ride better with the 18's. Does it help with feeling every little bump in the road. I have thought all along that the 18's with more sidewall than the 20's have to be better.

That is a 2500 series truck seeing as it has 8 lug wheels, so I am not sure the vibration issues from the 2500's are going to be the same or related to the ones the 1500 trucks are having. GM has a very detailed process to find the vibration, problem is finding a dealer that will get the harmonics equipment and invest the time in the process.

Which mine won't do, and GM won't allow me to try a different dealer. another guy in my area bought his truck at a different dealer.... they atleast worked on his truck, but couldn't fix it. He now has a tundra

I read this whole thread. No where in this discussion are the specific issues you are filing a class action lawsuit for detailed. I am aware of the vibration issues from reading this forum. I have also read some random posts about people's radios being "slow" to respond. What are the specific radio and transmission issues this is intended to cover? I feel like you would be better off focusing on one of these three, likely the vibration issue, as that seems to be the most prevalent from what I can tell. Just my two cents. I'm interested in things like this.

I will say, my 2015 Silverado has thus far been nothing but perfect.

As for the "off road tires" part, that is exactly why I was glad I didn't bother paying for the Z71 package. You basically get shocks and crappy off-road tires. I took one look at the tires they slapped on the Z71 and said yeah no way that's worth the extra 5k in sticker price. You can put a better set of shocks, tires AND wheels on your truck for way less than $5k and get much better components.

The shocks suck too. Mine failed and were replaced at 30,000 kms.

My wife and I bought a preowned 2015 with only 18k mi on it from a GMC dealership in SC back on 3/26/16. It was clean no issues on the CarFax, and no open recalls. Needless to say we have been back and forth to the dealership for the same issues engine vibration or shivering when on an incline/decline after engine warms up good. We took it to them the first time and they said they could not find anything wrong. We took it back 3 days later for them to look again because it was getting worse. They said they could not get it to shake as we described, so they ran tests and pulled codes but still could not find anything. we had them to also look at the back up camera and display. The camera would not come on sometimes or would have a white line accross the middle of the screen where you could not see what was behind you. We also took it in for the seat heater not working on the driver's side. When we got the truck back they stated that they still could not find the cause of the vibration and the seat heater was shorted out. We drove about a week and had to take it back, but this time I spoke with a different service advisor. He actually went on a test drive with me to try and recreate the issue. We were unable to get it to shiver, but my description was enough to give him a good enough idea as to what may have been happening. Also, my memory seat module was not working and the backup camera was still goin out. When we got it back they said they installed shims at the motor mounts it reduced the vibe some but did not get rid of it. Also, they checked for an update for the display/ rear camera, but no update was available. Lastly, the memory seat module was shorted!!! This sounds like an electrical problem, which may explain the rear camera acting erratic. On the way to this very recent trip to the dealership, my radio refused to work if I pressed power on there ws no sound. If I pressed power off I saw the speaker x'd out and no matter which state the radio was in the driver display said audio off. Also after the seat heater was replaced the leather for the seat was not installed correctly leavnig a puckle in the seat. We took it back to have them install it right during one of the other visits for the vibration. They could not get it right and after ward the seat was no longer level it leaned toward the driver door. After inspection of the seat they found the seat carriage broken. So now they are ordering another seat. Aside from those things large flakes of paint are coming off my hood nearest the grill on the flat angled section where the hood release is located. They said it is rock chips and they will not cover it. When speaking to the dealership they said they wanted to help and offered me supplier pricing on a 16 model. But I qualify for that discount already through my employer. What I am asking for is not to be upside down in a new vehicle, I'm asking them to bridge the gap between the blue book and the payoff amounts for the 15 and I will trade up. But I'm being met with some resistance, even from GMC corporate resolutions dept. After being lied to by a Senior Advisor about the existance of this department and the current condition of my vehicle, she said it was ready on 8/5, I called the dealership and was told by my Service Advisor that they have not started on my truck because they did not have parts until 8/8. I'm beginning to see the light and emailed the state Attorney General's office about this issue. I'm trying to be decent about this and give them an opportunity to fix this. NHTSA WILL HEAR FROM ME ABOUT THIS ISSUE!

there are a number of reasons:

1) I've had my truck in 2x and they have stated "normal operation" even after admitting I have radio issues and vibrations. They have and are continuing to refuse to do any more work to try to resolve the problems. because of this, I can't reach the number of required repair attempts to submit a lemon law case

-- others are seeing similar scenarios

2) Even if I could submit a Lemon Law case, they don't cover accessories over that of the MSRP, so I personally would lose over $10,000 doing that, many people would end up losing some money because of that as well

3) Even with the "Replacement" truck people are still having to pay dealer fees, excise tax, financing fees etc. all over again

4) Many people have just gone an traded in their truck at a loss greater than that which would be expected, I'll use myself as an example, My truck with all of its option, accessories, and extended warranty package is worth roughly $59,000 deducting $7,000 for incentives, and another $7,000 for a full years worth of depreciation (even though my truck was less than a month old when I got the offers that i ended up refusing) means I should have been offered roughly $44,000 $45,000. The dealers were aware of all of the different issues GM is having and even asked me which one bothered me the most, and they subsequently offered me $30,000 and $32,000. Again, I declined the trade offers, but I'm not taking a $12,000- $15,000 loss because GM can't get their shit together, and neither should anyone else.

5) For me personally, being in Massachusetts, Lemon Law is made difficult by GM because they use a huge multinational lawfirm with thousands of attorneys. the few lemon law attorneys I spoke to, didn't even want to bother taking it even if I could hit the number of required repair attempts, I'm guessing some other people found the same

6) there are many people out there who have the problems and are not on the forums. I have talked to dozens of people and it seems like its about 50/50 for having one of the issues, some not even realizing that they were considered issues. others who didn't know how or if they could deal with the situation.

--I wan't to help as many people as I possibly can with this

7) If enough people filed suit for this, it would automatically become a Class Action anyway, so it would be better to just get the ball rolling in that manner from the start, rather than wast time and money doing individual suits that would eventually become the "class" anyway

8) With a Class Action being a "Contingent" based suit, nobody has to make any out of pocket expenses fighting "breach or warranty" or "lemon law" claims to get any of this started. In addition, what lawfirm would take a contingent case expecting to lose? they only get paid if we win, so if they take it, you can expect that it is a very strong case

9) Many of the replacement vehicles people are getting have some form of vibration like their old truck, and in the mean time, they are having to drive 10+ truck to find one that is remotely smooth (re: vibration)

Wow, I never realized how bad other states lemons law are. CT has one of the best in the US. KEY TO KEY exchange on replacements no costs at all. Up to two years newer at zero cost and on refunds you get almost every penny back even dealer fees and all state taxes. You might be charged for miles but only to the first repair not the mileage when you applied. Good luck guys. I have heard a fix is coming but I've heard that all before.

A fix is coming for what?[/quote

My dealer says a fix for the vibrations is coming soon. Met with GM rep. All he said was soon. I don't believe a word of it.

IMO: Soon as the warranty expires...heard all the dealer tire excuses already...took it back for another truck, days later...now on my second truck...still shaking :nopity:
