hey yall,

new to the forum but just got a 2016 gmc 2500 denali, have color matched the flares, and now adding cognito stage3 leveling kit with fox shocks. Looking for insight on what size tires i can run on stock 20s, with this kit without any rubbing. I want to go as large as possible. Anyone who has done this please let me know, pictures would be great.

thanks in advance,

You can go with 295's or 35's, both will have a very slight rub on the sway bar at full lock but nothing to be bothered by.

The most popular tire size is 275/65/20 but they are not super wide like a lot of guys want but they are perfect for the stock wheels.

Would love to see a picture of your truck.

Do the 275/65/20 rub? Also considered the 285/65/20. Anyone running any of these?

Both of those will NOT rub.

Only reason I did not suggest the 285/65's is because only a fee tires come in that size, not a bad thing.

Now it's time to obsess over new wheels and tires. Current stock setup is 245/75R17. I don't know what the offset or backspacing is.

What size lift, DMAXNZ?

Torsion keys in the front 2" only. I'm thinking about drop shackles in the rear. The fender well gap is retarded on these new trucks. My 2005 only came with a 2 inch rake in the rear, not a 4 inch like this one.

Does anyone remember what their stock front height is or was of their 2016 2500? I think I saw somewhere, 39 1/4" ? I tried asking in another thread but they were too busy "discussing" leveling keys and lift kits. OP....this is just a quick in-out question, thanks

39 1/2in. is about right.

I just measured my 2016 GMC Sierra 2500HD SLT DCSB Z71 6.0 @ 40" front at lower wheel well molding and 431/4" rear bone stock with 18" wheels.

Just upgraded from 245/75r17 to 275/65r20. No rub, no trimming needed.
