Has anybody seen a confirmation of production date on the 2020HD Crew cabs?

Salesman called today and said they had a confirmation that our 2020 2500 HD GMC SLT Crew Cab would be built the week of June 10th and would probably take about 6 weeks for delivery.

Order was placed April 1st,

Hope that helps

That’s great news. My 2020 3500 Denali was ordered 3/29/19. Hope to hear something next week.

Salesman called us 3/29/19 to place order but we were out of town so didn't get back with our list of wants till the 4/1/19. Doubt one or two days make much difference.

Besides we have a few cars we need to sell to help pay for it.

Kinda scary ordering something without a price tag.

Just curious. We placed an order for a 2500HD sierra on the first of April.  One of the things we ordered was code "PTT" for the trailer tire monitoring sensors. Looking at the Ordering information posted on this site it appears that to use it you need the (U1D)  In-vehicle trailering app to be installed from the factory.

Looking through all the codes on the primary order sheet we received from dealer, I do not see the (U1D) included.

Any idea if it could be added once it gets to the dealer or if ordering the (PTT) automatically adds the (U1D)?

Haven't ordered a new car since we ordered the 66 Pontiac and at that time everything was a line item with out all the packages. Almost made it simpler.

Thanks for any input.

If you ordered PTT, you have the ZL6 Pro Grade Trailering system, which includes U1D:

Quote

ZL6 ProGrade Trailering System, includes (PZ8) Hitch Guidance with Hitch View, (U1D) In-vehicle Trailering App, (IOS) 8" diagonal Premium GMC Infotainment System, (UVB) HD Rear Vision Camera, (MCR) USB Ports (Instrument Panel with bench seat), (U2K) SiriusXM Radio, (U2L) HD Radio and (QT5) EZ Lift power lock and release tailgate
1 - Not available with (PCQ) SLE Convenience Package or (ZW9) pickup bed delete.

I have a 2020 SRW 3500 High Country on order with a TPW / Target Production Week of 29 May.

When did you place your order? You're the earliest TPW so far. The others have a TPW of June 3 and June 10, I believe, and ordered around end of March. I submitted mine on April 15, but no TPW last I checked.

Looks like just a couple of days difference on order makes a good bit of difference on production date.

I spec’d out my truck when the window opened - i believe it was about the 2d or 3d week in March.  I am good friends with the owner (Dan Powers Chevrolet in Hardinsburg, KY).  He called me the last week in March and said that he had one allocation thus far and i would get his first one with a TPW for the 1st in June.  Still no price yet - i have not check’d back with him.  As for lead times, when ordering - I ordered a 2016 ZO6 and had it within 2 weeks of assembly (shipped to a dealer in Louisiana close to my residence).  My 2017 3500 High Country w/ Duramax took about 6 weeks.  As i recall, i had a TPW for the 2d week of production. I am really anxious to get my new rig!

I do not believe the ordering date makes a difference early on for the new body style.  According to my buddy, he has 4 or 5 - maybe more on order by now.  However, until he receives an allocation - no TPW date.  Should not be an issue a few months from now....

I'm ready to place my order on a new 2020 2500hd but with no prices out how can you shop for a dealer that will give you the best price?

I've heard some doing only MSRP, while others may do Invoice minus any applicable rebates that may be available at purchase.

There won't be may 'deals' until the pipeline gets full.

Dealers will want to take advantage if the sales to those that 'gotta have the new one', and the built up demand for the models that they have not been producing ( some of the reg and double cab versions have not been available during 2019MY)
