Thanks for this!   Just ordered one for a great price.  Glad I waited.

Wish someone would figure out how to add a device or disable somewhere besides the auto stop switch, its a pure nightmare to access it in a truck with a full console.

Not really.  I put mine in today in about 25 minutes.  Only the lower trim piece is hard to remove- and it’s just that you need to really man handle the thing.  The other trim pieces are super easy.  Once it’s apart, plugging the eliminator in and putting it back together is literally a snap.

It works great too. :)

I just put the Autostop Eliminator in last night. besides a little blood donation it was very easy to do. I have the full Console package. I am happy already with it. slightly pricey, but worth it in my opinion.

Is anyone else having an issue where the automatic start-stop feature on the vehicle stopped working? I just got the truck about 3 weeks ago (Brand New) and this is the only feature giving me an issue. It worked at first, but after driving it a week, it has not worked since. The only modification I have done on the truck is change out the License Plate light bulbs from halogen to LED. I'm at the dealership right now and they can't figure it out, so they are trying to contact GM regarding this issue. No error codes showing up according to them.

Just picked up mine a month ago 2019 Sierra slt x31 5.3L, I have 1700km, in Ontario Canada. First week I noticed it stop about 5 times thru out the week.  I installed an oil catch can around 300km i thought it was because of that.  I have never noticed it come back ever since the first week.  Completely forgot about it loll. Not that I care for it to be on, so annoying and bad for the motor for the long run.  I never brought it back to dealer this is the only problem the truck has the light is on telling me system is on, which frankly I don’t think it’s a problem for me good luck to the rest

2019 gmc x31 same issue. Dealer and GM cannot figure it out yet. Some sort of fault showing in ecm. Once reset auto stop works as it should for 100 to 300 miles then quits again. At dealer 4 seperate times for this issue. Now the dealer wants me to leave the truck and give me a loaner until GM figures it out.

ok guys i figured out with my truck whats happening.  i have a dash cam plugged into the 12v socket at the front of the truck.  i did some research, it was drawing too much power from the battery when the truck was off, it always on.  i went into the fuse box and moved the 50 fuse over one slot (F27 Accessory power outlet/retained accessory power & F28 Accessory power outlet/battery) double check your owners manual tho it may be different.  This solved the issue. the camera now turns on and off with the ignition. which therefore does not drain the battery while its off. the day after i did this the whole truck went back to normal start stop features work almost every stop (which is annoying) so if you guys have a dash cam plugged in and the auto start stop feature does not work move your fuse over one slot or hard wire the camera to your truck. hope this helps.

I am not impressed with this AutoStop system, it is way too rough. No way this is going to be good for powertrain longevity.

UPDATE: Dealer couldn’t figure it out. He said to bring it in again and they’re going to try to update the ECM. They’re not sure if the ECM will even fix the issue or not. Apparently their network was down so they were not able to carry out that update today. Apparently I’m the first out of everyone to experience this issue according to GM so yay me.

Did you find out what the issue is? I am having same troubles.

From what I remember, unplug everything from your battery and plug it back in, then give it a try. Ever since then, it’s worked for me. Never failed again! Let me know if that works for you.
