Any ideas where to run the coax cable and where to mount cb for the least amount of interior damage thank you for your suggestions

I put my radio bracket on the little compartment door where, traditionally, the ashtray would be on the lower part of the dash. It's 2 holes, if it bothered me enough later, I could just replace the door.

My coax is just routed up between the front and rear door, between the weather seals. If you zip tie it to the grab handle, and route it on the floor under the mats, it's not in the way and you don't really know it's there.

Get the cobra 75 wx st and put it wherever your heart desires. Also, put the antenna smack on top with a Larsen 27nmo. Drill it!

heres some pics of my VHF install.

the antenna is hard mounted to the front left fender. theres a company that makes a mount fro the new body style chevys.

i used adhesive velcro to attach the radio to the console wall and ran the power and antenna under the seat and along the door sill under the plastic trims.

It’d be a lot cooler if you drilled the center of your roof! [emoji41]

I mount my antennas the same way, via the fender with an antenna bracket but I also do install a NMO antenna in the roof as well and keep it capped when I don't need 2 antennas.  Sometimes I run 2 rigs in my truck  (one is ham radio)

On my 15, I ran the coax down one of the front stake holes (antenna was mounted on a stake hole mount plate), out the drain at the bottom, along the right hand long frame, up through a floor drain plug, under the carpet, and into my center console.

Going to do something similar to my 18, one of these weekends.

Added a Uniden Bearcat CMX 760 in the arm rest of my 2017 1500 True North Edition.  For the

moment I am running a magnet mount on the roof of the truck, waiting for the rest of the pieces I need to attach a 2’ fire stick to my Magnum headache rack. Also shopping around for a small VHF/UHF radio that can fit right next to it

i did manage to run the wires and Coax without needing to cut a hole at the bottom of the center console( found a panel that you can lift up to run your wiring as needed
