Either the tire/wheel assemblies have excessive radial force variation, the rear driveshaft (propshaft) is out of balance or the right side engine mount needs to be shimmed 3 mm. Those are the only vibration issues that I have seen with a K2XX truck.

I don't understand what "shimming" a motor mount would accomplish? I can buy the driveshaft and radial force variance but the motor mount throws me.

Can you explain how that would make any difference?

Some trucks had a clearance issue on the motor mounts that required a shim to prevent the mount from grounding to the frame. Basically the two metal pieces on either side of the rubber isolator do not have large enough gap between them and they come into contact with one another. They put in a 3mm shim and it solves the issue. There's a few posts on here about it, but it is a separate issue from the high speed vibe. The motor mount shim eliminates vibrations felt when the truck is at idle.

High I have a 2015 Silverado 1500 CrewCab. It also has vibration issues.

The first service they did road forced balanced my tires. They were out of balance. That did not fix the issue.

The second service they put it on the picoscope. Then they changed my ring and pinion. And put the picoscope back on it said it was in range but it's had a vibration at 45 mph. I drove it and it was still vibrating the same.

Third time it's in for the vibration. They put it on the picoscope and said its in range again.

My question is what is in range and what is a good picoscope?

'14 dbl cab TX Edition radio froze (first time) yesterday. Nothing would make it work. Also noticed my android phone showed no signal (I was in an area where I should have had 5 bars). I did a restart on the phone and my truck's radio started working normally. Go figure.

I got the motor mount shims done about 10k ago. Still get the idle vibration.

Unfortunately even these trucks own shadow will make them vibrate. Why some do and some don't and it doesn't matter how many parts you throw at the ones that do is the million dollar question.

My 2015 XLT CC half ton is back in for service for the 2nd time in 22k miles. I bought it in April 2015. The damn things vibrated pretty much the whole time, but i drive my truck alot and didnt have time to take it on and get a loaner.

I did notice it will vibrate on a long hwy trip and stop vibing (is that even a word?) during the same trip with never stopping at any point. So damn odd and frustrating. Ive been looking at Fords but the trade in $ theyve offered is terrible. Not sure what my next step is. Im pissed. The loaner, 2016 XL supercab vibes a little. I def dont want another gmc truck.

How bad is the trade in value?

Nice looking POS. Hope you get it resolved to your liking.

Low $30s on trades. Sticker was $53 and walked out the door at $41 last April.

If you paid 41 and were offered low 30's a year later, that isn't actually horrible.
