I was not aware you could get max trailering, 8-speed and 6.2. I thought it was only available with 3.42/6-speed.

This is a bit off topic however,

The 6.2L 8 speed comes standard with a 3:23 rear gear ratio. If you get the max trailer package it comes with the 3:42 gear ratio.

You cannot get a Z71 package if you get max trailer package. Yes, I know it's always been that way but if you try to build one with Z71 selected you will never see the max trailer package option.

Edit: of course you must select LTZ or HighCountry also.

I just found my bed is not centered behind the cab. It is off 3/4". Flush on driver side and in 3/4" on passenger side. I can't believe that gets off the line.

It's Professional grade.

His is a Chevy.

I did not realize that "professional grade" was reserved only for the GMC line. I take it they do not have any of the problems that Chevys have.

I've had people swear to me GMC's are better built than Chevy's.

They come out of the same factory and share the majority of the same parts, there's absolutely no difference in the process I'm sure. As for upgrading to a 2015 model to get rid of this shake... right, this is my first and last GM truck.

Don't be surprised. GM hasn't discovered the problem. I'm sure you're aware that parts from 14 will be carried over to 15 as they will be the same. So then for "example" lets say it's something in the tranny and being GM hasn't found the source yet to pull the defective item from inventory or stop the mfg process, the parts will float over to the 15 models. Unless the problem is found, shake and bake may be here for sometime.

We'll see how many 8 speed 6.2's shake. People are starting to buy 15's and I'm sure they'll find this thread if their trucks shake...

So I took my truck in for the final attempt the other day for vibration.. after 3 days all they changed was 4 tires and replaced all the rancho shocks on the truck. The engineer supposedly hooked up the vibration analyzing tool and by the frequency they determined the tires were the cause. Changed all four tires to bridgestone duelers and still showed a vibration.. Changed the shocks and supposedly it fell within their specs. I picked the truck up and took it on the highway and found that my vibration between 40-50 was noted to be 60 percent better but not fixed. The vibration at 70-85 was the same and not fixed either. I was told that the GM engineer was not required to fix the vibration from 70-85 because it was over the posted speed limit and it is not legal for them to exceed the limit of 70mph!!! I was floored at their response. I'm working with them now on a replacement but in order for them to work out a deal with me I had to close my BBB case.. I closed it and and will be negotiating on a 2500 but will have to spend more money to get into the truck I want. We will see what happens!

I live in Florida were the speed limit is 70 mph. They gave me crap about driving over 70 mph and said they weren't obligated to fix it because I was "breaking the law." I asked them to provide me with a document stating that my truck was specifically designed and built to be driven only in Florida and not designed and built for interstate commerce. They never mentioned the speed limit again and the next phone call I got was to schedule the final repair attempt.

I am only going to a 2015 (not sure if I would call it upgrading) because that's what I was offered and would be an idiot if I didn't do it because I'm not losing anything except time. If I wasn't offered this deal, mine would probably be sitting on a ford or ram lot as we speak waiting for an unsuspecting buyer, what a shame.
