Nonsense, the banks will just start offering 120-month loans.

Aaaaaand there's the reason my '16 Silverado with 100k miles is the newest, and lowest mileage vehicle in my fleet (not counting my wife's Pacifica).  I'm perfectly happy with my '70 ACVW as my Island station car; if the tide comes up too high for a storm I just need to remember to tie it off to a bollard, lest it flow/blow away! If driving an ACVW on a 200 mile commute is wrong, then I don't want to be right. :)

This is the first truck I did a seven year loan. Could have got 0.0% financing if I went with a four year loan but the payment would have been around $1100 a month. That's my house payment. Sad situation.

My favorite past time use to be cruising the car lots early before they open. I get dizzy looking at the stickers, I don’t go anymore. When the weathers bad I do my walk in Walmart. I have to advert my eyes from those prices. Now it’s the gas pumps. New homes damn. I feel like rip van winkle and I missed the middle part. I did plan for this for in retirement. It’s still a shock.

I never said I was pulling anyone over or writing tickets. :) I don't run a legally required front license plate on 3 of my vehicles and I get them inspected when it's convenient for me, not necessarily by the expiration date; I am fully aware of the requirements, and I accept that risk.

I guess the other item of note is tossing lights all over a vehicle without understanding their meaning, kinda like having some foreign symbol inked in one's forearm and hoping it means what one thinks it means. 😉 ; at sea, lights are a major communication device for size and direction, and serve the same purpose on a vehicle in conditions of reduced visibility.   If one likes the look of the lights on their own vehicle that's fine, just own that it could result in a ticket or at the very least a wasted-time pull-over, same is driving around with green bulbs in the running lights or a flashing red on the roof with no reason for it.  Carry on. :)

So in otherwords, if its you committing a traffic code violation, it's fine because you "assume the risk" but could also result in wasted time pullover, your words. But yet are condemning others for their choice in possibly committing a different traffic code violation because it could also result in a wasyed time pullover? Does that sound about right??? I'm confused. Maybe you could help me understand this further...

Simple: own the risk and be aware of the meaning behind what one does.  In this case, lighting modifications that have an actual DOT reason behind them.  As the OP, or anyone else for that matter, is now aware, there's no surprise now.  This leaves 2 options: remove the lights or run them with some background knowledge.  Same goes for loud exhaust, wide tires that don't meet fender requirements, lifted trucks that don't meet bumper height requirements, or speeding.  Choose your level of risk, but plan to own the consequence. 😉

Installed the Uniden R7 radar detector.
I did a clean install (no mirror tap, though I have one if anyone wants it). I just ran the wire to a dual 12v port, on my single 12v port, along the wires for the N4 dash cam. Simple, really, though one does have to remove the passenger A pillar trim and the passenger side fuse cover.
Also, set the color to blue to sort of match the interior dash lighting.

mirror only has 10v feed so the mirror tap probably would not have worked well, 10v made my valentine go skitzo so I tapped into the airbag light which has 12v feed.

Slow down Mike😂

I'm trying to! I have the State Farm Drive Safe and Save app and my score is down to 83 percent. 😬
But, for the rare spirited drives, just wanted to be on the lookout! 😎

Haah, if I had that app my score would be zero and I would probably have a cancellation notice in my email

I got an oil change and did something I didn't think I would do today: I did the "paint stick mod" in order to eliminate the really bad flex in my gas pedal. I guess we'll find out when I hit the expressway on my way to work in the morning if it really made a difference or not.

Also today, my Dad - who uses a 2017 Sierra for work - just had his 6-speed transmission kick the bucket at around 80,000 miles. So uh, yeah...that's kind of spooky 😬
