Hey everyone. I'm a long time fan of the forum, but just now deciding to join. I'm from the Oxford/Anniston, Al, area. I'm almost right in-between Atlanta and Birmingham off of interstate 20. In March of 2014 I bought a white double cab LT Z71. I settled for the 3.08 gears because of the deal I got. I had negative to carry over from my trade, so I wasn't in a great place to pick the exact truck I wanted. With that being said I really liked the truck. I got used to the awful acceleration and weird gear shifts up hills and when towing. However... last month I half heartedly ask my salesman if they had any 14's they were really needing to get rid of that was nicer than mine. Turns out they had quite a few, so I test drove a black LTZ crewcab Z71(current truck) and a black High Country 2wd. I ended up with the LTZ. I liked the High Country, but just couldn't get rid of my 4wd. I love my current truck. Besides having the luxury of the crewcab rear seat space I also have 3.42 gears in the rear end of this truck. I have to say it feels a lot better than the 3.08 now that I have something to compare it to.
