Today is GM's birthday. The company is 107 years old. Founded by William Durant on September 16, 1908, the company has seen its ups and downs. Haven't we all? GM is riding high today with excellent products, quality ratings that are bumping the Japanese companies off their high horse, and sales, of trucks and SUVs at least, that are the envy of the industry. Having been "reborn" after the troubles of 2009, GM could not be in a better position than it is today.

Maybe GM forgot to issue a press release because it isn't saying anything on its site today. Let's help GM celebrate by all signing an imaginary birthday card right here. If you have a gripe with GM now is your chance to make a clever remark. Or keep it positive and sincere. I will go first:

"Happy Birthday GM. It sure beats the alternative."

Uh, its not 107, by my count.

Remember, this is "NEW GM"(you even pointed it out, it was "reborn")

If they claim they are 107.....

They are "New GM" to get out of paying the debts they owed. Let's turn off the spin cycle! They probably won't claim they are 107 in fear of lawsuits.....

107 seems young.

I started driving in 1986..

its like being a third as old as all of gm...with just the years of my drivers license.

going on 43, I have had 23 vehicles.

I fell for the small block.. but my first road going was a 301 pontiac.

happy birthday.

I just recovered a lightning strike that did nothing but morph a bolt.

350,000 miles.. 19 years...one gmc truck.

I may be getting to the age where everything new is amazing. OBD2 is still an awe inspiring thing. I grew with breaking things, bangin carbs, uncomfort, swaying in the breeze...

and would do it again. :)

Damnit! I should have thought of that!

I'm not sure I'm correct, but that's my guess. Seems you can sue for anything regardless of laws anymore...and win!

Loved my Intrigue until it went downhill. My brother loved his also but we had the same problem: 3 or 4 major things went bad within months of each other. They were timebombs.
