GM FAILS ME AGAIN.

To start off with, i have been a GM guy almost my entire life. I had a 2013 Avalanche ltz, a 2011 Avalanche Ltz, a 2007 avalanche lt, 4 Chevrolet express vans, 2 Yukon xls, and countless other products over the years. Mostly they have been durable machines with very little problems.

I recently bought a 2015 sierra 1500 Denali with a 6.2 and 8 speed with cash. It has been nothing but trouble with the transmission. The tranny clunked every time I stopped at a light and went to go again and in the mornings when I put it into drive or reverse it takes about 5 seconds and waits until it hits about 3000 rpm before the tranny engages.

Countless trips to the dealer have led to a so called new transmission that works just as bad as the old one. And crappy base Chevrolet equinox rental cars. I mean like, I have a 65 thousand dollar truck, should I not at least get a rental with leather seats?

GM is no longer returning phone calls and it is becoming a increasingly angering problem.

I have about had it. if the truck was on lease I would drive it to the dealership and leave it there running with the keys in the ignition. but sadly I payed cash for the truck so until gm does something im stuck with a crapbox

How much of a piece of shit is that damn Equinox...

I just got my Sierra back and drove one for a week and a half. Wanted to shoot myself. Radio quit a minimum of 3 times a day, and the car had 300 miles on it when I got it. What a shit box.

Sorry about your truck though.

Bbb.org I'd your friend. Why not let them deal with GM ? I submitted my case through the Bbb.org site and had an agreement from gm to buy my tuck back within 45 days. Bbb will put pressure on these a holes. I feel your pain my man. Frustrating as all hell. Good luck.

Thank you to those who gave suggestions such as the bbb.org site, i will be getting them involved if it is not resolved by the end of the week.

It just shocks me how little they appear to care about customers. Another 3 or 4 phone calls later i am waiting for them to "get back to me shortly" while they "work on it."

and the equinox was terrible, absolutely no power, the seats were despicable and there were all manner of clunks and rattles throughout the vehicle.

it angers me that salesmen in dealerships such as the one i dealt with who are knowledgeable, honest, and hardworking are having their reputation tarnished by a shocking customer service policy.

Unfortunately, it seems this is a sign of the times and not solely a problem with GM. There are service nightmare stories on all the automotive websites I'm a member of or have lurked on. All sound pretty much the same.

Looks like bbb, as already mentioned, or reviewing the lemon laws in your state with a lawyer may be your only recourse to get satisfaction. Sad, but that seems to be the way it is these days. Good luck, it sounds like you may need it.

I have a 2015 LTZ 2LZ CC with the 6.2 and 8 speed and it has been the worst vehicle I've purchased in a long long time. Between the transmission feeling like its going to fall out of the truck, the grill bubbling and starting to peal, and some other small issues I regret trading in my 09 LTZ CC DMAX.

For $60k you would expect to have a quality vehicle. Its going in for another reflash, a new grill, and potentially a tranny early next month, if that doesn't clear up the issues its getting traded in.

I had a 2013 Tahoe that broke down 6 times over the course of 6 months. Had to be towed each time. I bought it brand new and my wife drove it. The dealership claimed the computer was running rich and dumping extra fuel into the engine and that it was stopping up the cats. They changed them and reflashed. It did the exact same thing 4 times after, and each of those times a GM Rep came in. I thought I would be covered under some lemon law, or possibly a buy back. Even threatening a lawyer corporate GM never offered any help and said the warranty was covering repairs and loaner car(shitImpala) and o should be happy. Dealer helped out and sold me a new one for a steep discount while they worked kinks out of old one. Worst auto experience I ever had. They said I was welcome to file lemon law but if I did they would classify the Tahoe as potential lemon, and deactivate warranty on it until settlement. I didn't want to have the pos sit there broke down so I traded. For some crazy reason I keep buying from these losers, ha-ha.

Cheap gadgetry is replacing quality in new vehicles, as it appears that many younger people do not care about quality at all as long as the vehicle is loaded with cheap "high tech" items. Unfortunately with high car and truck prices and stagnant wages, not too many people can afford to replace $ 60k+ vehicles every few years and take 50% depreciation on them.

Somebody on one of Impala forums said that my '09 Impala LTZ is a piece of junk because it does not even have a USB port. This just confirms the mentality I am talking about. My car has 92k miles, and it has been a very good a reliable car, practically trouble free. I am still on the original brake pads and rotors and the engine and transmission have been just about perfect so far.
