2016 Sierra Denali Base Price Increase?

Hey Guys,

I ordered a 2016 Sierra Denali 1500 a few weeks ago and base MSRP was $53,865 for a Standard Bed 4WD configuration ($60,360 as ordered). I just visited the GMC website and MSRP is now listed as $54,340 (now $60,835 for my configuration). This reflects an increase of $475 in base price and they only started building them a month ago. Option prices appear to have remained the same. Mine is scheduled to be built next week. Has anyone heard of a price increase already? Thanks for anything you can tell me.

They did, I priced a new silverado at 52,950 and it is now 53, 250, $300 dollar increase on the base price. WTF

Nothing new prices went up ever since the new 16 came in I heard correct if I'm mistaken they now charge for paint not sure if only high end colors or all colors and even the lighting on the bed. In general price will continue to go up.

I think the bed lighting is standard on the GMC and an extra on the Chevy based off another thread here. I do agree prices will continue to rise until people stop buying them, which will be never.....

Yeah my 16 had a $395 charge for the Iridium paint

Yes all colors are a upcharge except summit white, black, there's one more can't remember, maybe silver? Total bs to charge for colors that are pretty normal, I can c the white frost.

General Motors must be following Harley-Davidson's lead. They've been charging a premium for any color other than "vivid black" for years.

Wow. You're absolutely right. $475 to be exact. I ordered mine a few weeks ago (2016 Denali as well) and canceled the order to determine for sure what I wanted. Wish I would've kept the order now. Ridiculous.

More like 60k if they are a Denali.

There is now with 2016 models. Any color that is metallic cost extra. Why? Because they can.

In Canada white frost premium is twice as much as the stone blue premium. Not sure how the others fit in.
